I must admit that I'm not that much expect on the G31 codes... I only use the program, and have got it from a EIA freak some years ago... But it's working perfectly on our Mazak machines...
I'm starting to get use to MC to draw the parts as well, mostly for the training of it... I still prefer the Solid Works.. It's faster and for most things, also easier and more accurate 3D... Or maybe it's just a habit... ?
We have made our own tool break detect program in ISO for a MAZAK PFH-5800... It's working very fine, but I honestly don't know if it will work on a 1992 model.. Looks like this:

G28G91Z0M19

G10L2P1X-730.Y-730.Z-474.

Hi!
I'm running X3 MU1, and I got some troubles with making nice swept surfaces...
When I i.e. make 3 arcs as "across contour", and 2 arcs as "along contour" it's like the shape is becoming egded, and doesn't follow the shape completly... Also when I just make a straight swept surface, the ends become edgy...
Any advise what to do or change?..
Thanks in advance!
The files as STL "binary" is on 126KB, and I put the "Number of entities for dynamic rotation" to 100.. It's for me very low.. Still the computer freeze for 2-3 second and then do a single move and then I have to wait again.. If I try with the ASCII version it's even worse, but also filesize 926KB...
My comp. has 3GHZ, 2GB RAM and a NVIDIA Quadro FX 1400.. It's a company computer, so have no idea about the graphic if it's good or not...
Thanks alot for the ideas.. Was so focused on SW, that I forgot the option in X3.. .. It's working now, but even in very coarse version, it's really freezy when I want to move the part... Guess I need to ask for new computer..
Hi!
I'm running X3 and having some troubles with making the compared with STL file, when I make Verification..
I have a file from IGES, which I have tried to convert in Solid Works to .stl, but there are 2 options in SW, "Binary" or "ASCII"... When I choose the Binary, I can't see the shape in X3's compare mode, when I try the ASCII, the X3 is freezing completly when I try to show the shape..
Any clues, what to try or what the reason is..
Thanks in advance!
