I want to change my posted file extension to .txt. I've done this before, but I'm having a brain fart here. I changed line 508 in the CFG file to .txt, but when I go to post, the NC setting still defaults to nc. If I go to Screen/Config, that field is greyed out. How do I change this so that the default is txt?
Thanks,
Thad

The Release Candidate is being tested right now for anybody that's interested.
James, could you elaborate on that? What is "The Release Candidate?"

People mention that ATI video cards are known to have problems. Specifically, what are these problems? I'm not having any specific problems, just wondering.

After generating a 2D contour ramp, I went back and changed some parameters (step down and stock left). When I went to regen the path, the following debug error came up:
bnci_section(): cannot delete nci section! Temporary file crated: D:MCAM9commontempuppershoe2.mc9
Then I opened up the .mc9 file in the temp directory mentioned above, regened the path and everything appears to be fine. [edited to say]There were also 3 other mc9 files in that directory and I'm not sure what they are doing there or how they got there. One of them is actually a file that I recently deleted. [end edit]
Has anyone seen this error/situation before and can you shed some light on what happened.

James, would that make it the same size as a dollar?

Thad - Gibbs isn't the only kidd on the block with nifty features... I didn't say/imply that they were. I just had to snicker when Rekd (read his sig) was inquiring about a possible new feature on MC when it already existed on Gibbs. That's all.

Biggest question is from what software are the Iges files coming? If that software can output parasolid(.x_t) or acis(.sat) based solid files you will save many hours of cleaning up the IGES surface models.
The files are originally created in UG and Ideas. I know that UG can output .x_t. I'm not sure of any of the other software/file type combinations.
