This is off topic but I thought you guys might have some advice. We're in the process of making a mold to mold a 3 inch by 4 inch by 1/8 thick polypropylene part. We usually don't use this material so I was wondering if anyone is familiar with it's shrinkage or warpage during molding. Any other tips or advice would also be helpful. Thank You!
We currently have a Tree Master Journeyman 425
vertical mill. This has been a great machine. As far as service goes we just had ours serviced by Ellison Machine in Milwaukee. The service tech. was very knowledgable. Replacement parts are available but it could take awhile to get them.
When I try to save a file the thumbnail image screen comes up. I would like to get rid of this but I can't seem to. I have this setting turned off in the screen config. page but it still comes up. How can I get rid of this.
Greg,
Thanks for your help. The problem turned out to be in our connection to the server. We changed servers last week and we've had a few problems since. My e-mail also had to be reset-up. Thanks again
We use windows xp pro and our post are fine and have worked in the past. Our video card is fine too. This problem didn't arise until we got a new server for our network.
I also get this error when I try to post anything else. I also get it sometimes when I hit main menu. My mastercam has become almost useless because of this error. It closes down everytime the error comes up. Please help!
we have mc9.osp1 when i try to post a surface program i get an error message that reads "mill9.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." We have windows xp. Any help would be great.
I work with Charlie, when I load the patch on my computer I get an error that reads "Failure creating backup log file C:Mcam9Backupunpatch.bak" How can I fix this? Thanks for your help!
the program from perfecseal mankato works great when we run it on a Benchman using a mplightm post but when we try it on a tree using a dynapath post it gouges just like it always did.
the programs were posted on different computers.
any help would be great.
can anyone tell me a good way to mill this surface on a hook ( geometry is on the ftp site). we are using a 1/32 ball endmill. it cuts most of the surface pretty well but it gouges the back side of it. we'd be greatful for any help.
As a toolmaker who does his own programing and runs the cnc's himself I can understand how some cnc operators get offended. I also feel that some toolmakers can be arrogent but as long as molds and dies need tweeking, repairs, or trouble shooting there will be a need for toolmakers. So to say our days are numbered is just as arrogent as toolmakers referring to cnc operators as "button pushers".
