  1. yes slavecam. in x8 i use to get repaired nci, never stop mastercam from continue. but in x9 is will hang it.
  2. Hello folks. does anyone have this nci problem with x9. if so please share some information. This happen mostly in the multi axis contours, basically almost all the multi axis. esp when i use the transform to copy around. it says the nci calculating , and it is goes for ever, i mean if i have to leave it will take a month. so i have to shut down mastercam and reopen it, and when it is open some of the icons on the contour shows locked. Now it is happening every time i want to generate a 5 axis, or do anything with it. my boss stop the maintenance this year i was hoping i will update to m2017.and the problem will go away. didn't have this problem in x8 or before. Please if anybody had this before and know what to do . let me know. it is getting very frustrated, when u work for 30 minutes and you forget to save, and boom this happen and i had to close MasterCard and reopen it, lose the work , and than again and again.
  3. HI all x9 transform posting is so slow, when using nci. it takes for ever, every time it happen need to shut mastercam and restart again, and even that don't solve the problem, need to use geometry in the transform to get it, does any one have this problem. or is there a work around it.? Thanks John
  4. Hi all Does anybody know why the solid for hass trunnion tables that come with mastercam for the 5 axis machines is not solid anymore, it rather mesh like STL, if so can it be fix please thanks in advance. Sincerly John
  5. Yes msl, i found your posting on the post forum. thank you very much
  6. what i have right now is this ( primary B rotatry) rotaxis1$=vecy # zero rotdir1$= -vecx # direction ( secondary A tilt) rotaxis2$=vecz # zero rotdir2$=vecy # direction that's work fine for the table sit parallel with the X axis, but the new machine, the table sit parallel with the y AXIS should i leave the primary B alone and try to change the secondary direction only
  7. HI all My boss just bought Haasvf3syy with tr60y turnion table,. The table sit parallel with the y axis, i have tried to modified the 5 axis that come with mastercam, but no success, if any has this table with the configuration i would predicate any help sincerly John
  8. K2csq7 they way u mirror u surfaces made the swarf confused, directions wise, you went from climb to conventional if you changed to conventional it will work fine, i would try to mirror the tool path instead,
  9. i would rough it out an leave .01 and heat treated and comes again and finish it. it is too hard to mill at the hardness. well for now u need some special tools
  10. it is all in the feed rate. haas cant take more than 120 ipm. depend on your machine setting,
  11. we are right in the middle almost, it costs us 2200 to make
  12. thanks newbee, but honestly if you have the new stuff in mcx7, it wouldn't be that hard to program. i have done this in the old swarf, and it was a mess, but the new, im very impress with it.
  13. newbeee, how much u think this will cost you to make. ?
  14. Glenn Bowman. I will answer your question in two type of milling. if you roughed the blades all the way to the bottom and finish it with one contour in 6 steps yes i will cut like tilt strategy. but if you will want it to rough the step and finish each one separate than you need to work some Geo. and the good think about the new swarf is your have the options to use lines and upper curves and lower select them both at the same time. of course after you make them. then it will tilt away on the upper edge of the blade and cut on the lower edge toward the hub. and that's what i use to make this part. it lined up pretty good, program size 150 mg 12 hours run.
  15. here is some picutres of what the new swar milling. i think it done a great job
  16. large codes is something you have to live with some time
  17. From my end, i think the new milling Swarf is very impressive. well for twisted blades new swarf rocks, where the classic failed to follow the twisted surfaces correctly. i will post some pictures done on the new swarf milling, i like it a lot, mastercam promise to add trochoidal 5axis in next release.
  18. happy 4th of july everyone. hope you all had a good long weekend, MTB I place geomtry in mcx exactly like the part on the machine, wcs on hass (G54 Z0) is on that .125 above the table. so is wcs in mastercam. so what you saying is put the part exactly like on machine in mcx and forget the post shift.?
  19. bet338 thats great, thats what im looking for. did u move the table to .121 in mastercam to level up that with the post.?
  20. The reseller want me to move the table solid up .125 and put that in the post. the question is does anyone done this.?
  21. PRISM i do all that, i will post a picture hold on
  22. prisme i do have the procedure for finding the center of rotation on the trunion, by using 123 blocks it is exactly .1248, and i do the programming on what u explained. but yet there still some shifts i need to align either goemtry or offeset on the machine. for example i was cutting a titanium fan the vanes depth 1.5 so i did it in 3 depth, .5 as it goes around and finish that, the next depth is 1 and goes around and finish that the last depth is 1.5 and goes around and finsih. well here is the big problems there were mis matches with .5 to 1. depth with 1. deg ratoted geo to fix., and between 1. to 1.5 almost 2 deg rotated geo to fix, i know there must be some blades deflection but i dont believe it is that much, simulate that in mastercam before u do the adjustment and u dont see any mis match at all. of course u will need to reck a part to see that.
  23. Hello everyone I have a vm3 machine with trunion table 210T I believe the model that embedded in mastercam when u load the machine configuration, it has the center of the pivots .125 above the top of the trunion table. I always kept the z0 inside mastercam on the distance center of the pivots. And I always placed the geometry part and fixture on the top of the table and counting the distance from the table top to the pieces. I been doing this for some time now. I got into some adjustments, like if I title the table 90 deg, we will have some .02 or shift on the y axis need to be adjust, so I called my reseller and they said to move z0 inside mastercam to the top of the table and put the shift axis in the post saxisz .125 claiming that should solve the problem. But that’s didn’t work, it made it worse, does anyone here using the same procedure, any help will be appreciated. Thanks
