Hey guys, I have a new pc with 4gb of ram. I tried to allocate 1.5gb to the database and toolpaths but the database wont accept more than 400mb. According to the help section they should both accept 2gb. Any help?
grande,
this forum should be the deciding factor. when you run into an issue, you can be fairly sure someone else has seen it before and can guide you in the right direction. besides why would you want to use anything but the best. mastercam is numero uno for a reason.
When I do 3d toolpaths over a solid it puts the operation in the solid manager and the operation manager. Is this neccessary or is there a way to have it appear only in the operation manager?
We are currently considering purchasing Veriprobe to program our Cmm from Verisurf. Could I get any advice from anyone using this software, as to the pros and cons of it.
That does work, but it extrudes the curve straight out. It doesn't follow the twist that the other sections run at. This is a twisted airfoil by the way.
Is there any way to extend a lofted solid, like you do with a surface. I have cross sections to create the body but they don't always exist at the ends. I know I can surface it and use the edge curves, but I was wondering if there is another way.
Hey people. Is it possible to use Mastercam to program a CMM? Our programming software for our cmm is cumbersome and akward. I was curious if I could post out a program for it?
My greatest wish for 10 is that my cheap company would buy it. I'm still stuck in 7. trying hard to get 9, but by the time they're convinced, 10 should be available. Scott, I personally like the foot peddle idea. Should add alot of fun to some hum-drum tasks.
But it does work on the newer versions? We had a test version of 9, but by the time it got passed to me i only had a few hours of 2 days to evaluate it. I quickly played with the multiaxis toolpaths but not enough to know what it can do.
Hi folks,
I was wondering if any of the programming gods could help me with a problem. I am running Mastercam ver 7.12 (I know its ancient). When I use the 5 axis flowline toolpath with multiple surfaces I get an error that the surfaces do not form a row. Is the flowline toolpath limited to one surface or is there something wrong with my geometry? Also, is there a way to spiral mill down the length of a part instead of making one revolution and then stepping over?
