  6. I had one general training class in 2002. Since then I've trained myself enough to get into some cool multiaxis (4 axis rotary) stuff . Now its time for some 4 and 5 axis training to answer some questions . I'll be at Prism Eng. in Horsham, PA for 3 days next week. Can't wait!!!

  11. hi all I did a search but couldn't find anything . First some background I just started programming a haas tl1 and a haas sl 10 lathe useing X5mu1 mplmaster .pst. the tl lathe cant use G28 cause of the if the tailstock in the way a crash could occur. So i'd like to know how to edit my post to get rid of the g28 u0. v0. w0. . so i'll just use the reference point tab on the tool parameters page. the code below shows some other changes i'd like to make. I'd like to add a g28 to the begining of the post for the sl 10. I've modified mill posts in the past but its been awhile thanks in advance !!! % o0000 G20 <----ADD G28 FOR SL (TOOL - 10 OFFSET - 10) (FACE/TURN-TOOL INSERT - CCGT-431HP) G54 <-- get rid of this T1010 G18 G99 <-- get rid of G18 & g99 M24 <---get rid of this G97 S200 M03 G0 X4. 15. 1 of the problems was that when i installed x4 i named my folder mcamx4 .then when i installed MU1 it made a folder mcamx and changed the target to mcamx .so i had a mcamx and mcamx4 folder i tried coping the files from the mcamx folder to the mcamx4 folder but i kept getting errors so i just uninstalled everything .
  16. i did a total uninstall , installed everything and that fixed it! thanks me
  17. I installed mu1 now when i go to settings- configuration- start/exit in the startup settings the configurations window is blank and the current window at the bottom is blank if i make a change to the config and try to save it, it says the parameter is incorrect . how do i get it show what config i'm using

  20. i tried rsbeadles way and the code looks right for what i want. curve 5 axis turned on 4 axis , used 3d curves and controlled axis with lines.
  21. Thanks a bunch Crazy !! i need the example of the part not on center. rotating from the origin..
  22. smit i looked at the file and the code looks the same as what i have the y stays the same for each slot and the angle indexes. this would be all good if i was rotating from the the center of the arc at 10.875 but i'm rotating from the origin. so i'm thinking that their should be a different y and angle for each slot .
