hey guys i had the same thing happen on a 2D radial slot. i did standard pocket with helix entry and it gouged my part all the way through.
the gouge didn't show up in backplot or verify.
i also had this happen in circle mill when i picked geometry not point.
machine master g is steamin
i am also having problems with tabs in X
in mill i select tabs, i use manual tabs place them where i want , i check the box for seperate op to machine tabs away.
when MCX makes the separate op it make a router cutoff operation. when i run the op it ramps up from the center of the part(gouging the part) then it machines the tabs away.
speaking of video cards we have a 3d labs wildcat vp760 what should the setting be for this card in x. i noticed that the backplot in x blinks alot i hope its just the video card thats for any help

the .100 jog in the haas is crazy in the z, .01 for me.
going to imts would be the mother of all "tool shows" since i've never been there and from what i hear its big. mmg and I have talked about going but that's as far as we've got. hint hint
james you say you can't walk the whole thing in a day. Now thats big
why don't you try slot mill, change angle to like 1.5 to .5 degrees and play with step overs ,ruff and finish passes and your in .meaning you can almost go as fast as you want with in reason. no problem i'll be here all week
