where in x4 does it let you save as an x3 file??

Hi all, just installed x4 along side x3... but if i save my file in x4 then i try to open it up in x3 it says file is corrupt.. anyone else had this problem? thanks paul

Hi all, when i send a prog from our fanuc controlled daewoo lathe to our pc using cimco edit the program comes out with 2 extra blank lines between each line of code.. ive been told that its the lath outputing the extra lines.. where is this parameter set in the lathe? any help would be great thanks

hi all, just wondering if this is possible.. i have a casting to machine finish using surface toolpaths. now i have the model of the finished part.. obviously the casting has say 10mm material on it.. now i can also create a model of the casting pre machining so can i give mastercam the model of the pre machined casting with the 10mm on it and let mastercam calculate only to machine the 10mm off as opposed to the usual ostock set up of say a standard rectangular block.. thanks hope this makes sense..

hi all, where has the function of being able to use the "result" of geometry gone in v10? it was great being able to select the result of an edit or what everin v9... hope this makes sense.. thanks

hi all i have a file with about 15000 -5mm holes drawn on it... now the file was given to me as a dwg now when i import it it takes about 5 sec to read it but now that i have it in mastercam x3 even with no toolpaths it takes a minute to load .. just curious as to why this is thanks.. paul

ive tried to pick mask on arc and it seems to select it then when i hit ok my operation disappears from the operations manager...

Hi all, ive got about 2000 odd holes to drill and the file i have has all the dia's of the holes drawn but not center points.. is is possible to automatically select all the arcs and have it drill at the center points ? i didnt fancy creating points at the centers of the holes.. thanks

hi all is anyone out there familiar with an addon conversational prog for the mitsubishi meldas 60 series controller called navi mill? i can create a program within it but i think it just creates the program as a macro.. apart from this macro i need an example of a main prog that would call up the macro..i think G65 calls up the macro and p calls the macro number (G65P1000) any thoughts would be great thanks

hi all im a current v9.1 user thinking of upgrading to v10.. one thing that was a pain was having to always put boundaries around my model to get mastercam to home in on exacly what i wanted to machine .. can i take a model in v10 and know that mastercam will have a certain amound of "intelligence" to machine certain areas ive picked without the need to define boundaries for every little thing? thanks
