The initial tutorials introduce Mastercam’s simplified multiaxis user interface featuring custom application toolpaths, and they later transition to the more advanced interface.
Topics include Tool Box toolpaths such as Projection, Impeler floor surface and Impeller blade swarf finish toolpaths. From the Wireframe toolpath family, you will learn how to use Parallel to multiple curves and Morph between two curves. The Engraved Key Chain project teaches students how to import a graphic in Mastercam using Rast2vec. Rast2vec is a C-Hook which requires a full educational or industrial seat of Mastercam to use (it does not work with the Mastercam Home Learning Edition)
A variety of commands are used to resize the graphic and to place it at a desired location on the rest of the geometry. Contour toolpaths are used to engrave the graphic and to machine the outside profile.
