That doesn't sound like a very good design for a CNC machine. -
I'm pretty sure you have to customize that in your settings. Sorry I don't remember exactly where to go, its been a while since I used V9.

I'm guessing the rod has to be pressed in pretty tight so it doesn't spin. Do you have any problem pulling the rod out? -
Can't say that I've had this problem.
