  3. I am sorry! This is new to me and I am quite embarrassed. Thank you for setting me straight. I am using X5 currently. Yes I am programming for a lathe. I am programming a outer profile and several pockets around the face of the part with drilled holes at the bottom of them. The post I am using was apparently set up by one of the programmers prior to me. Although I did try one called Lathe-c axis slant bed lathe and I got code but had to manipulate it for the machine I am using, (reformat and code changes). Thanks for the help and the kind welcome. Sincerely, rchipper
  4. Greetings, I have a project that requires c-axis programming and the current post that I have will only output the code below. Can anyone offer some advice? How to find the .pst file to edit, how to check the current Machine control file and/or set up a new one or does anyone have a post for this machine to share. I was told that the .pst I'm trying previously output good/full machine code. Now it does not. % O0000 (DESCRIPTION) N100 G30 U0 W0 N110 M01 N120 G30 U0 W0 N130 M01 N140 G80 N150 G30 U0 W0 N160 M01 N170 G80 N180 G30 U0W0 N190 M30 % Thank you, rchipper
  5. Greetings, Is there a way to take a mill project and convert it to run on a lathe utilizing c axis cutting. I have a mill part but all our mills are loaded with work. How can I take this part and transfer it to our C axis lathe to mill it? I am still learning Mastercam X5 and would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you, rchipper
