Ive got these two lines in position and I dont know how give it the angle I want top left to bottom right of the box
The distance between is .7 and I need a 15 deg angle and on older I would use create line polar but I dont know what to do in x6
Its not a 15 deg thats .7 in distance because my diameters dont match up when I do that
I know its a bold call to say the prints not right but
Ive got an id at 2.5 goes 3. Deep then goes to dia 2.88 ar 3.7 deep with 15 deg typ and im not getting it
And when using the priny points the angle is 28.5
Y is it missing the radius on the od
Im following step by step intrictions and for the second strait lesson this happens
Im lost even starting from scratch 2 times does not reveal my error
Also I could not get the dynamic point to work either
From 9 to x outside looking in and once or twice playing with x ya I felt the same
With just the smallest amount of guidance and a few training videos I found it to be not as bad as originally thought
Many of my favorite hot keys still work even some that were not reviewed on videos
Im all about the hot keys
I wasent the best at 9 but I used it for a while never got past 4th axis or live tooling though
So It still may be a leap in some areas
The dorian gang tool did not work well with 316 tools wear and pull the whole thing out of alignment
Dont know if it twer the tool or the dudes running it but didnt last too long
I forgot to ask earlier but I cant see the bottom of the dialog boxes where the check is
Like stock set up
Tool parameters
Sometimes I have to move the windows bar from bottom to side and sometimes when that doesnt work
I just have to hit tab and hope it lands on the check and hit enter
What do I need to do to fix this
Open mcam
Go to settings
Config
Click on screen
Check the box that says. Disable hardware acceleration
Jay helped me fix this exact issue earlier today
Unless u have a different issue than I did
I just wouldnt think at around 170 it would do the job but ive seen several references recommending it so looks like thats where im headed and if im not happy with it its not much of a hit on the wallet
Looking at whats available im thinking its best to get dvd tutorials and books
I can always refer to them whenever and if internet is out or I cant pay
I wont have to worry about not being able to access an online subscription
And with my hrs a classroom is next to impossible
Gonna be hitting it hard this yr i have been denied jobs because everyone has the current version and all knew was v9
Again my fault for going with an obsolete version but I did learn alot that still applies
Hi there this is richard im finally getting up to speed with x and away from v9
I think it was a mistake to spend last yr buying v9 books and all the training when its been sunsetted
But I did get alot of tool path and parameter experience
I only did it because my job had v8 when I should have been getting in the new stuff
Anyways im here when I get back to my skill level with the current system I want to take advanced lessons
Currently at my best I can created parts with radial surfaces and do surfacing paths witch is about as far as the books go
My first atempt at this was asking jay where do I start to get into drawing 5 axis stuff
Bit heads impellers etc and it was above my level
So to go next level above the 4th axis stuff am I going to need a class or wat?
Can anyone suggest a good laptop for running mcam x4
Im not a tech guy and cannot biuld computers just something that can be store bought and will have good processing and graphics
