Just finally looked up the specs for the space pilot pro on their website
Im totally sold now the thing I love is the view buttons alot of times Ill be hating I have to go all the way up to the tool bars to change views thats fantastic
Well this is for the sake of say not having a model
So we had to draw it ourselves and we did not understand it would not work out
We finally ended up sending it to the reseller and they did it
So thats basically what this thread was for to be able to draw something like this when not supplied with a model from the customer
wow ya theres no way im getting any of that without a teacher
but it didnt seem that complicated when the programmer explained it
the way i tried was drawing the detail as show on print then wrapping it to the dia but it never worked out
and the formula wasnt all that crazy like those, or mayb its in there i wouldnt know if it was though
Okay lets forget the small part
The detail on the end of the long one is my question
I had run something similar to this on a 4th axis and programming it was another story
I saw how it was layed out in 2d along y in the software
What I would like to know is the formula for calculating it
Can you elaborate abit more
Exactly what do you use it for in mastercam
I use hot keys for speeding things up and often feel I could be doing things a bit faster
The more you familiarize yourself with the program then your mind will not be like o man what do I do
Youll be able to improvise and think of something or try something that you may have went over in a tutorial
Sounds like your trying to do way to much way to fast
Trying surface milling when your having trouble building solids
Books are an inexpensive great start
There are books on design solids milling lathe and on and on
I would suggest getting familiar with drawing before attempting tool paths
And thats a great point all the small tricks but for that amount of money as u stated if u can swing it is worth it I believe
Im just not sure if I want to pay that amount to show me different methods to do the things I already can do
When I can make that same payment and learn something I cannot do at this time
Its a can of worms for sure but thats why im getting opinions and advice before I commit because ive already had basic courses from other sources
And ya that statement may be a bit misguided being that 90 percent of what I can do with mcam is self taught
So other than price what are the differences advantages to the mcacm u industrial and educational certification course
And how much would you need to know to complete one
Do you need to already know multiaxis in and out to be able to complete the course
Ill be contacting the local reseller as well just thought id ask here too
I worked at a place like that till I knew my future there
Learned all I could then hit the bricks places like that will just plop someone else right in your spot the next day
And never miss a step its harsh but thats the way some spots are
Id like to know where those shops are
Im one of those guys spending my own time and lots of money improving myself on my own time
I lose sleep just to take advantage of the time the pros when their giving away info weekly so that I may observe and take in what I can
Im dedicating lots of home time while raising and providing for my family so that ill have the skills to really take care of them while satisfying my own ambition
I read ya jay
What I found thats really cool is theres a helical gear drafting tutorial ive gotta get some solidworks exp.
Also impeller blades that I can paly around with in mcam and see what I can learn the classes I took just scratched the surface on 5 axis stuff but nothing on drafting blade stuff which im just as eager to learn
I remeber people asking about the kurt vice model on the last webinar
So I looked for it found it and way more
http://grabcad.com/home
Dont know if you guys already know about this or not but I just stumbled on it
U can get 25-30-range in houston tx just for operating
If u look enough and have a set of skills
Take my word for it
There not the most efficent or competent companies in regards to turning profit hence the pay
But thats not my part, they dont even listen when u make suggestions
