  1. We have a Vf7 with a TR210 and a VF6 with a TR310. Most often what we want is more y travel. When you kick A over 90, you start running out of travel fast. We mounted the 310 to the front of the VF6 and rotate backwards to get the max y tavel as possible. The VF6 also has the 8" riser on it for Z clearance. We lke being able to take off the tables if we need to have just a 3-axis machine.
  2. That was it. Thanks Colin. I don't know how that got changed. I never use the Stock View feature, i guess it got turned on accidentally. Anyway, these parts will go considerably faster not having to use xform stl so much. Thanks again.
  3. Thanks Colin, i will check that out. I use 2 files because of file size. Overall performance and lock ups seem better with 2 seperate files. My rough program makes my computer run slow enough. No i do not work for Boeing. I work for Valley Machine Shop out in Renton. You came out here and gave us some tutoring one time. It helped us a lot thanks!
  4. Thanks for the reply Superman. The WCS is set to Top along with cplane and gview. I have tried many combinations with those settings. I am not using compare to stl. I am just creating an stl with verify in one file. Then calling it up in another file, and the orientation of the stl is totally different.
  5. I have two mastercam files for my part. The first is for roughing and the second is for finishing. When i run verify on the rough file, i save my stock as an STL then use it in the finish file in a rest mill op. I have several of these part types and it works fine on some and bad on others. The problem is the files keep changing orientation. I have pictures for examples. This is a screen grab from front view front cplane after rough verify. photo 1 Then i load the STL as a mesh into MC and it is rotated like this. photo 2 I have tried changing cplanes, i have tried different quality settings in verify. I dont even have a view in this file that coresponds to that orientation. Also, like i said, sometimes it does it, and sometimes it works fine. If anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it.
  6. We just got an NH-6300 as well. I have been using the MPmaster horizontal and its working great. I was told by my reseller that in-house does not have a Post setup for this machine. I am guessing because Mpmaster will work fine.
  7. Not yet! I have looked at it a little, but most of my parts it would not be applied too.
  8. Thanks GoetzInd! I will look at the Mori as well then.
  9. Anyone have a ballpark cost of an Okuma MU500V. I would like to know if its even close to our budget before i talk to a salesman.
  10. Hey Robert! Where did you get your post? I have a VR-8 and VR-9's and the Post i bought does not work well and does not support G141 comp. I am considering getting a new post for those machines.
  11. There is also a time in the Backplot. From the backplot window click on the little blue arrows and choose the info tab. It will give you the feed and rapid times. Yes, the change from 9 the X is hard. It is well worth the effort though.
  12. I have searched and i cannot find any info on this error i keep getting. When i use the clipboard to copy entities from one level to another, i loose my toolpaths right after i paste it. If i save the file and reload it, i get errors saying "Group already exists with the same name" I can enter through those errors and my toolpaths return and they are clean. However, i continue to get this error loading that file after this, and the file becomes very large. Anyone else seen this?
  13. Thanks i will give it a try.
  14. I use G90G10L2P1X0Y0B0 to set my G54. what would I use to set G54.1P1?
  15. Can I use G10 to load my G54.1?
