  1. Is there a way to change it? Would it be a hurco setting or a MC setting?
  2. I'm using a .375 end mill to comp out a .5781 hole. Starting from center, cutter comp on/arc on, cut the .5781 diameter and arc off/ cutter comp off. My Hurco BMC 2416/ Ultimax throws an error,"specified radius is too small". Odd thing is my older BMC 40/M doesn't have a problem with it. Any ideas?
  3. when I print, down at the bottom I get the Gview:top WCS:top.... and to the right a scale per inch. Is there anyway to print without them
  4. In my opinion If I need to "select body" I'm not gonna make extra clicks and "enable solid selection" turn off "select faces" and start picking when I can just hit all and be done with it.
  5. I have ribbon bar modality checked in my settings. If I enable solids selection and deselect select body, it will remember that for the next time I select solids.....Until I close MC and start up again.
  6. When I activate solid selection, both "select body" and "select face" are depressed. Is there a way to set it up so when you activate solid selection only "select face" is depressed?
  7. Here's the way we operate. We have a mold designer running solidworks, the 64 version. He usually tries to get me all the electrodes first. I usually start programming those while he finalizes the rest of the mold. By the time I get the trodes programmed and ran he's ready with the rest of the mold. Then I go onto that. What we have discovered is that if he has that solidworks file open and I try to get the electrodes I can only read the current solidworks configuration. Even if all have been activated, rebuilt and saved. So not only does each config need to be successfully rebuilt and saved it must also be closed in solidworks to read it into MC.
  8. When I read in a .sldprt with multiple configurations, a dialog box opens and asks me to select which config I want. Not all of the configs are there. I did a search and someone said to go back to solidworks and rebuild and save all configs. Did that, no solution. Now when I read in I don't even get the "select config dialog box" it just reads in the last saved configuration. How do I get all of the configs?
  9. go to your groups and delete the group.
  10. Is there a setting so that when you do a file merge, it doesn't put it in a seperate group?
  11. I delete the group. The part stays there and goes back to its original color.
  12. I tried. Not sure how to attach a file using the forum. I just cut and pasted to email.
  13. would you like the whole zip to go file? or just the post?
  14. # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Program & Sequence number format # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- fmt O 7 progno$ # Program number fmt N 7 seqno$ # Starting Sequence No. fmt N 7 seqinc$ # Sequence No.Increment fmt N 7 n$ # Main Program Seq No's This is what my post looks like. I don't see any errors in the update log either.
  15. Another problem I am having is when I use a "surf rough contour" path. After it finishes one depth cut and is ready to move to the next, instead of outputting an XY move and then a Z move, it combines them. N1040 X5.4 Y6.0 N1040 Z-.25. All one one line. It seems like it knows they should be on two lines because it includes the line number but assigns the same line number and keeps it on the same line.
  16. Running X2 now. Ran update post.dll. Now I have about 3 things wrong with my post. At certain points there are spaces in the code. Just a line number, no G,M,X,Y,Z,F....Sometimes one, sometimes two. Sometimes it puts a line number at the end of the line in addition to the begining. N1430 X5.4 Y6 N1430. Help me post experts.
  17. So I finish applying toolpaths to the part and I'm ready to post. I select all operations and hit post. The post processing dialog box comes up and I hit the green checkmark. Then somthing strange happens. The save as dialog box opens up like it should, but now not all of my operations are checked. If I hit save it posts the four of the five operations that I have. I close the editor and another save as dialog box is there. Hit save again and it posts the other operation. Now I know I can do some cut and paste to get around this but whats causing this to happen. It did this the other day with a different programmer with a different file too.
  18. Sorry Bosto but I had already saved after the mystery goemetry showed up now I'm stuck with it I guess
