  1. About mills ... Ho use MillMonster mills? I try it and I obtain good rezults with it. It's chipest compare with Titex or Sandvik(europe price) and I made more parts with it.
  2. For something like this I use GHMPL-20 with GIP 3.00-1.5UN IC354 (mm variant) buttttttt I modify the tool and insert to enter in 6mm dept, and with small feed something like 0.02mm/rev and many passes (peck) and retract for remove chips. It is a pain in the.... Good lake !! If you want more help send me the file on email. I have restricted acces to ftp sites.
  3. Thanks Cris, for your support and understanding for all of you
  4. I do not have intention to upset anyone of you or offense. Now I read more topics and posts and I see you have some attitude problem with some guy … Pierce… and I understand why you react like this …Excuse my post maybe it’s to …… It’ far away from me to act likes him. Maybe my English it is far away from truth and my translation take other form, different compare with originally … in Romanian… Maybe it is a good idea to stop temporally my posts; I do not want to create animosity or something like this. I am too rookie compare with most of you and maybe younger and I will act properly for now on.
  5. Well, I signed in this forum a long time ago, but I do not sow … at past time… many useful things on the forum, I sow indifference, and later I visited the forum for updates, new and it is all… …Until now ... when I have some free time to spare and I look on posts… … In addition, to resolve a prob. …maybe a bug of MC…with blank geometry on flip stock …if you don’t select this… Now I see many people who are friendly and ready to help if you are in difficulty. I am glad to see this, but this post maybe it is not a very good idea…
  6. I am a rookie compare with many of you. On lathe I made hundreds prog... in <1 year, in aerospace division where is difficult material and small tolerance. However, maybe sometimes I ask dummy question for you about mastercam like "why mastercam blank my geometry after I flip stock If I chose to not in options".... it's a question with no answer for now. I think this it is not a reason to laugh on me and made jokes or worst. You do not born master of mastercam or programming?. Many of you have truly rights to said, "I work very hard for my knowledge... and some rookies come here and want post's for free or something like this" Nevertheless, this is not a motive to not help icy other if you can. Because this is the way to learn faster. Some of you it is older enough to remember times when the internet was science fiction for us "92-"93 and you do not have possibility to ask somebody, and you "dig" and ...and spend tens of hours for a simple problem after 10 coffees, 5 packs of cigarette... Maybe you have many motives to be so cold with others but.....it's time to
  7. I modify my post for lathe, and put a header were I have the name of part, the date of postprocesing (this is automaticaly generated), and custom variables for operation, revision, max distance to clamp, stock description..... If you wanted to inspire mail me and I send it to you.
  8. You can try PDHNL geometry from SECO it's very good for step OD finish operation , for OD routh PWLNL geometry with WNMG, for ID and small diameter (>=6mm) I work with SWUBL from ISCAR it's very good and ISCAR have some very good solution for ID grooving. The inserts it's very good and resist in time. I work with AMS 6265 and more like this and it's work very fine. If you have more questions don't hesitate to mail me.
  9. If you try to use canned cycle with a "chain" stock not a rectangle it take to max diameter of stock for the start of cycle, and you run in front of the part in "air". With classic rough operation it's work fine. All of this for lathe operation !! I don't work on mill with something like this.
  10. I have an old nvidia mx 400 and mastercam 9.1 sp2 and it's work very fine. may be with more serious 3d models for machinig you have some problems with you video card........... Paul "baby" CNC programmer
  11. have anyone a postprocesor for a victor vt15 lathe [ 04-21-2003, 07:32 PM: Message edited by: pauln ]
