  1. Hi, In V8.1.1,when i gview dynamic, the default is rotating, and if i click "F",the gview dynamic becomes "free". I heard that the "free" option in v9 was canceled. Is it true????? and if it is,WHY????? PDG,I find it very useful! Thanks,
  2. When i get a tap drill from the tool library,it could be great if the cycle at the parameters will automaticly be changed to tap. sometimes i forget to change the cycle from drill to tap,and then....my tap drill is history
  3. One of our workers gave me a cd and told me that he just want me to see what he can download from the net. the software on the cd was Mastercam version 8.1 (mill level 3,wire,and lathe) and a folder that contains the cracks, and a txt file that contains all the codes for the convertors (adv. acad, step). it is very annoying, but if you'll do a quick search for illegal softwares, you'll find millions of web sites that you can download from, and even without paying the 79$ for it! the only thing we can do,is report it. Life isn't fair ha??
  4. I havee no idea why,but the gfoce mx,with the latest driver still looks bad! Riva TNT II,looks better, but works slower when i move the solid part (xform translate,or gview dynamic). RIVA TNT looked good on NT4,but i noticed that under win2k,the right click menu stays on the screen untill i refresh very annoying! Just tell me what is the ideal card, and i'll buy it.i don't care about the price! Thanks, [ 12-03-2001: Message edited by: elad ]
  5. Jay,i can't open the ftp,is there any problem?? Thanks,
  6. I couldn't find anything about the Highfeed. Will it be in Volume II?? When we'll have Volume II anyway?????
  7. We are all tired of talking about this over and over, but i don't know what to think anymore I got my new computer (P IV-1500 MHZ,256 RAM,with Nvidia gforce II 64mb,and win2k) This card is not good at all!i noticed that when i gview dynamic the solid model, there are little white lines on my solid.very annoying. I had nt4 before, with Riva TNT II 32mb,and i had almost no problems. Anyway,i'm going to throw this gforce away, and try the Riva TNT II 64MB. What do you think?
  8. Hi, I have never tried to work with the high feed. Why do i afraid of it??do i have a reason?? Thanks.
  9. Huge, I work in metric too. I will check again what i do wrong, and i will let you know. Thanks,
  10. The default values in the mtl and tools library are very wrong. I always have to change it menualy. If i have to change it menualy anyway, there is no reason to set the job setup. I don't know where this value come from, but if we want to try to get close to the real values,we will have to work hard to change the base values in the libraries. I think the best is to delete this libraries and build it again with your own values. Thanks anyway Huge,
  11. Speeds and Feeds are depends on many things, and it's not exact science, but Mastercam still considers the the most importent things when calculatind this values (material, tool dia.,etc...) I belive that it is possible to configure the mtl and the tool library, and it will give us some kind of reference.even if it's not exactly what we want,it's still better then trying to work with 0 spindle speed and feed i still think that the way of calculating this speeds is too complicated. In the mtl library, when i add a new material,i have to give it base of cutting and some more values, and this values will be calculated with the tools parameters.you can learn about the calculation in the help file, just click help in the define mtl window.you'll see all the formulas. Thanks, [ 11-25-2001: Message edited by: elad ]
  12. Hi, I tried to understand the formulas that make the calculations for spindle speed and feed rate from the material. When i create a new material,i have to insert values (like base cut,etc...) How should i know what values to add?what is the easy way for building the optimal tool library. I'm tired of inserting the spindle speed and the feed manualy, somtimes i forget to insert it,and if the worker wont notice this mistake,he will break tools. James, any recommendations?? Have a great week everybody! by the way,you have some kind of holiday back the in the u.s??i think it's somthing to do with chicken?? well,i saw Bush on tv letting one of this giant chicken free.
  13. James????? If you have it,you will upload it to Jay's ftp, right??
  14. I improved my English because of this forum. Sometimes the english in this forum is TOO technical, but if i try hard,i find the word in my translation computer. But still one little thing bothered me.there was a topic called "Chevy Bowtie".What does it mean??couldn't find it in my dictionary.
  15. Hi, I used the help in Mastercam to understand the way that mastercam calculates the spindle speed and the feed rate. To add all the needed deatils,i have to modify every tool in my Library, and also the material library (the calculation refers to the material too). It's a hard work, and i'm too lazy to even start with it. so every time i choose a tool,my default spindle speed and feeds are 0,and i have to change it as needed. so here is my question : Does anyone did the hard job of building the optimal tool library?? If the answer is yes,i will be very happy to have it and i WILL thank him very much
  16. If i understand you right, what you want to do is right click in the operation manager and then "save to library" and go to the other part and right click in the operation manager, and then "get from library. I hope that is what you need.
  17. I made one for myself. You can create your own metric library very easily. Let me know if you need help. Elad.
  18. Everything is ok with Mastercam.the problem is with your post processor. if you know how to work with post processors, try to find where the problem,or just download the fanuc mpmaster post processor, and modify it to your needs. If you don't know how to do that, the best thing to do is to contact your Mastercam dealer in your area, and i'm sure he'll be happy to assist you. Good luck!
