  1. Hi, sometimes the isometric view is very helpful to do toolpath on a solid part. The problem is that the isometric view always refers to the top cplane. If i work with several gviews(4 axis),i can't get an isometric view of the current gview, and i have to "play" with the part with the "gview-dynamic" until i get the needed position. it could be nice if the isometric view could refer to the cplane, and not always to the top.in one click on the icon,i will have the isometric view of the current cplane. What do you think?? Have a great week.

    advises???

This forum is for Mastercam users only, I belive you will not find help on other cad/cam softwares. Before i bought mastercam,i also chacked Cimatron. If you would like to know the diffrence, contact Mastercam's and Cimatron's dealers, they will be happy to show you what they got. [This message has been edited by elad (edited 07-20-2001).]
  3. Hi, I'm trying to understand the calculation that gives me the spindle speed and the feed rate from the material. I'm using the formulas in the help of the material definistion. I had no problem finding the CS (cutting speed) value. After i calculate the CS, i need to find the spindle speed, but it doesn't work according to the formula. spindle speed=(3.82 x CS)/tool diameter if i calculate according to the formula,i get a different spindle speed then mastercam calculate. What is the 3.82??i think it has somthing to do with english units. I need to understand it.it will help me define materials and tools parameters. and one more little thing to MrDevelopmentGuy : There are some pepole in the world, that don't use english units, and somtimes it's hard to use the help when it's all in inces. Thanks. I hope you could understand my question, somtimes it's harder to write in english then to speak.
  4. Well MikeN, I can offer you about 8$ per hour (and it's really good here in Israel) A regular worker here get about 4.5$ per hour. But this is good if you compare us to jordan. in jordan you will have about 150$ a month. sorry,i don't have a better offer for you Mike.

  14. And of course, when it's raining in the u.s,here in Israel we drown! Things are really slowly here. most of the products that made in Israel is for export to the u.s. hope it'll get better soon
  15. As far as i know, there is no sofware in the world that can get converted solid files from other software as parametric solid. If i get a solid file from a customer, and then i get a phone call from him, telling me to do some changes,i have a problem! somtimes i have to make surfaces to fix his solid or to make another solid attached to the original solid.

    work offset

I already tried to set it in my configurations, and it didn't work. I tried almost everything to drop the work offsets (G55,56...) but with no luck! I always need only G54. i always set home positions in the middle of the 4th axis, that's why i don't need work offsets. Already tried to change the "force_wcs" to "NO" in the post, but it didn't solve the problem! I get G55,G56... when i use 4th axis or when i use toolpath-transform. The only way i could cancel it is when i set every operation to work offset 0. In some operations, the work offset is grey, and i can't do nothing. Don't know what to do anymore. do you think it's a post problem?? is it a bug in Mastercam?? Is it a bug in me?? Thanks,
  22. Hi, How does Mastercam calculate the machining time of a part?? In v8.1 it was good, but in v8.1.1 the machining time is twice in Mastercam. thanks,
  23. Hi, I've noticed that the work offset is always set to -1 by defult. Is there a way to change the defult to 0?? I tried to change it in the configurations, but it didn't work. Thanks,
