  1. Thanks guys I'm digging thru the files now. A little disappointed that custom cycles 9-20 share the same picture.
  2. I was wondering if there was any way to change the picture that shows up when you pick a Custom Drill Cycle. We were hoping to make a new picture that was a bit more relevant than the default ? ? ? picture. I tried searching but couldn't find anything but explanations of setting up the custom cycles.
  3. Have you tried looking for it on the macro screen?
  4. I think this is a pretty awesome idea, but i keep thinking if i ever saw this and i knew who the email it was going to...... i can't help but to try this...... O0001 M350 ( Whatever M code specified ) G4P10000 M99
  5. Where are you trying to display it on? What are you trying to accomplish? Give us a little bit more context on what you're trying to do. Are you just checking to make sure its doing the math right? You can either unlock macros 1-33 so you can view it on the macro screen or just output #1 to a different area you can see. #1=[COS[#3]]*[#2] #100=#1 #3000 will alarm out and stop the program in its track. Also, I believe it can only output whole integers as well. Depending on what you want to do, this might or might not be what you want.
  6. Had to pay for mines out of pocket so i got the spacenavigator desktop. I cant say I use it much in mastercam. It's awesome in solidworks/nx though for modeling. The worst thing about it is, once you go 3d mouse.... you can never go back.
  7. Mick, I signed up already, I'm getting this error You do not have access to view this page within the website. I also linked my mastercam, I can pm you my user name if that would help.
  8. I could probably change the macros to check for the button first before sending the spindle z home. But like you said, it really isn't an issue if the operators are doing what they are suppose to be doing. I always mentioned that the button gives them a chance to double check everything before sending the next pallet in. Whatever happened to watching the first tool approach? Had a few spirited conversations in my dept about macros and their functions. At what point do you draw the line in "dummy proofing" the program/process? The only thing we seem to be doing is creating better dummies. haha
  9. Just throwing it out there, we were able to use DPRNT out to FTP on our standard fanuc machines. From that point on you can rig up some kinda trigger to send you a notification. The problem we've always had with moris is their mapps junk ruining everything.
  10. Out of curiosity, what control is this? Looking though a bunch of manuals, the only manual that we have that mention #200-499 is 15i. If you can see them, are they showing up as null or do they actually have values in them?
  11. Ron, maybe we started off on the wrong foot here. My name is Trung, nice to meet you. Maybe I should be a little bit more articulate with my posts. I've never seen the ability to unlock macro variables 200-499, i would be cautious to use those numbers because its not documented in any of the fanuc manuals ive seen. 30i Manual states 1-33 as local and 100-199 as volatile when control is powered down. 500+ will stay in controls even when powered down. 200-499 is not documented and i would not risk it. In the past when we inquired about adding more macro variables on the machines from doosan, 200-499 is not an option. On at least one machine that had very limited space, it just forced me to write more efficient code and we were able to get by that way. TLDR; I wouldn't do it. If you need more, ask your tool machine vendor or challenge yourself to write more efficient code
  12. i still would prefer if the machine alarmed out before making any movements. Thats just my personal preference. As for the button, the "awesome" operators at my company would hit it ahead of time.
  13. i could be wrong, but i have never seen macros 150-499 available from any vendor. On our new machines we have 600-899 available.
  14. As josh pointed out above, i believe mori seiki puts the current pallet into macro variable #147 and current tool into #148 We've been hard coding the M61 and M62 into the program on a few machines. On this last machine we got, i found out the where in the machine the info was stored a wrote a small macro to check the program against that number and alarm out if its not correct. I like it better than putting m61/m62 into the program. If the pallet isn't correct the machine won't automatically move on its own to change the pallet. Had at least one incident where the operator wasn't expecting the pallet change and it freaked him out when it started trying to change the pallet.
  15. do you have to be a part of the 3rd party developer program to access these downloads?
