Thanks guys. We had to move the job to our NL2500. Our go to guy at Mori seems to be at the tool show and hasn't returned our call. We've done rigid tapping on our SL303 in the past but for some reason it isn't working now.
Thanks anyway.
This is live tooling tapping in X using G88. On the preceding block we're using M329 S300. We found the parameter and switched bit 0 to 1 like the manual said but we still get the same error.
We have a Mori SL 303 with MSG501 control. Can someone tell me if there is a parameter that needs to be turned on for rigid tapping to work. We keep getting the message "EX1433, PLEASE SELECT SP. TURNING MODE".
Thanks.
The card has not been bought yet and is being chosen because it's recommended by HP to fit into this small box. Below is a link to the specs.

I have a new HP desktop with the Quadro NVS 285, 128MB Ram and haven't had any issues with it using v9 or X. Been in use about 2 months now. Works as well as my old FX 500.
Could someone clue me in as to why everytime I post a lathe file it also generates a .err file? The .nc file is fine but I also get this other one. Thanks.
Just showing my ignorance. Ok. I've got a lathe part drawn. My Cplane is Lathe Diameter/+D +Z, WCS is top and Tplane is top.
For whatever reason, I change my Gview to isometric. If I want to switch back to Lathe Diameter, I'm not given that choice. Whatever I choose puts my geometry in the X/Y Gview. So if I analyze a diameter, it shows as a Y coordinate. How do I make the +D+Z stick?
Ok I got it to work if I set the extra line spacing before I create the note but still can't edit the note after its created by using Dimension/multiedit.
Created a multi-line drafting note in X and the lines are too scrunched up. I'm trying to edit that note by increasing the "Extra Line Spacing" but it isn't working. I created the same note in v9 and the extra line spacing works. Must be doing something wrong.
Couple of weeks ago my HD crashed and had to rebuild everything from scratch basicly. Everything was backed up on our server but all links to apps were lost so I had to reinstall all software. So I put off reinstalling X until MR1 was released. Did that today. I'm on maintenance.
Let's get to the point. I don't have solids so I created a tube from surfaces and saved as .STL file. In verify it's still showing me a solid loaf of bread shaped image just like V9. This is a 4th axis part and I'd like a true representation of what I'm cutting.
I ran STLHeal on the file. Did I do this right? I thought this was going to be fixed in X.
Thanks.
