  2. I have millman, 12 shops in 17 years, most of them where a stepping stone. some where a joke.. [ 08-16-2003, 12:01 PM: Message edited by: cg777 ]
  3. harryman, check this out, i just got done talking to the integrex programmer here, the freeking engineer of the integrex machine calls here to ask our programmer how to do certain tasks. andrew was so correct when he said i opened the gates of hell, in mazatrol programming in =b= axis programming(drilling that is),if you want to drill deeper, the programmer has to read a macro that does a sh_t load of trig,(that he wrote) to accomplish this task. otherwise it will just move deeper in =z= axis. to all that has been following this forum, i don't need factory training, i think i have one of the best here, when i said this guy was good, really good, i believe it's an under statement. quote: Treat that Integrex dude right. If he had the stuff to get the Integrex humming, then he's worth not pi$$ing off, or on. +100 my friend, i felt a little when i got here, but knowing i'm not alone with you guys and him.. i'm "THANKS" [ 08-16-2003, 11:06 AM: Message edited by: cg777 ]
  4. i'm new to the forum, but i plan on sticking around a wile. so u silverbacks may already do this. "tip" open a word doc. or note pad and save a file to copy and paste info. you get from the forum. this way u can save what YOU need in your own folder. this way wei don't have to go back and find something. the folder could become a quite valuable and powerful tool. cory
  5. not difficult at all, but i'll leave this to someone whoes been playing with there post recently. i'm just getting back on mc, it's been a little wile. i'm sure you will have your answer shortly.
  6. also, unless you manualy turn spindle on, you will have to repeat this comand also. this is assuming that your trying to start on the p line
  7. quote: ( "P" .251-.252 REAMED THRU ) X-29.5 Y-22.5 G98 G85 Z-.45 R.1 F4. try putting a g43 h(whatever) between x&y line and canned cycle line. you r correct, starting on that p line has no length offset call out. i'm suprised it didn't alarm out.
  8. jumped in late on this, but it's good. crazy millman, quote: spent more time in 5 years learning and doing things before and after work on my own only good programmers know this. because thats exactly what wethey all have done. IT GETS IN YOUR BLOOD and the really good ones, theywe lost sleep over this sh_t. (if you been there, u know what i mean) +1 to u
  9. i agree with toolfab, the party, the bands plus the girls. rekd boy did i think u put your head on the chopping block with that one. but in retrospect to my first comment, 9 out of 10 girls will get on the back of a harley not rice burners. but i do agree with you, depending on what your looking for. performance? then go with jap crap style and long rides? harley by all means. again i agree with u on the price. hd prices are bs. you can get two rice burners for one harley. but personaly, my honda cr250 is next best thing to sex. other than air crafts, where else can one fly.............and not get killed from some dumb _ss driver that didn't see you. try explaining that to your kids. i can personally say i wiped out many times, but i'm still here to tell. i was driving down the road about 18 years of age. i saw a semi-truck, a rekd bike, and a boddy bag. at 34 years of age i saw a gard rale, a rekd bke and a man laying face down, there was about 6 people there to help. they were all standing about 40 to 50 feet away (there was no help to give) i don't know where i'm going this so i'll shut up. p.s. don't get me wrong, if i could afford it. there would be a Harley parked in my garage. and yes, i would ride it. cory

    saving

+10 tip dan, you know a lot files have duplicate entities ans the programmer won't even know it. it's a good hbait to the operation often cory
  11. good mornig my fellow mc-heads, chris, your right i am going to be around for a wile. i look forward to these forums each morning. also, my name is cory, thanks for asking. mr stuart, you asked how things r going, ok i guess. my new job reminds me of the title of a book. "the road less traveled" i really sense, the intergrex mazak programmer has a resentment towards me and mastercam. this guy is good, i mean really good. i can tell he has poured blood, sweat and loss of sleep into these machines. and now he sees me wanting to do it all on mc. he's writing his own macros and does all the set ups. this is the kind guy every employer dreams of having. but you know the saying,"it's quicker to program on mazaks" this doesn't hold true when it comes to these machines. it takes him a long time also, you r right about how they define there machines. we have 3 or 4 5axis mazaks. i found out the other day, these machines do not operate in all axis simultaneously. there basically 4 axis with a tilt. the true 5axix mazak comes with a fanuc controll. crazy millman you right, when i finally get strapped in the mastercam seat again i will offer all know. nobody in pa. ca. or ma. is going to take my job. for a long time, i wanted to stop doing what i know and teach it. be back soon cory [ 08-15-2003, 09:11 AM: Message edited by: cg777 ]
  12. quote: how much is to much lets see, i'm sure the people that make money from .37 stamps r not happy about free e-mail. gas companies don't make as much, because we don't have to leave the house to go to bank or store anymore playboy mag. probably lost money, 80% of internet usage is porno. harryman, there was an artical in mfg. engineering talking about how r jobs will not be needed in the future. because companies are just joing to share information to engineer there parts. how far will it go? i don't know. not all things in life r free, this is true. but when comes to the hard drive in my head.. i'm running out of disk space if you know what i mean. so anything that will help meusyouwe to make things go smoother (integrex especially)why the heck not.
  13. i got your program u sent, i have to wait until (i call him master) is done with a set up before we can test your program. harryman, i found out what M302 is it tells the machine to switch to sub spindle. this is accomplished by G112 in this machine, this going to be a freeking nightmare.
  14. RStuart, yes, please send it, that will be a start. we already use g125, so i'm safe to say we have it. i'll check with our integrex guy to see about the parameter change u mentioned. [ 08-13-2003, 01:24 PM: Message edited by: cg777 ]
