for wireframe go to Home, Attributes, far right icon is set all, you can change color , style, level or you can also change from analyze entity properties

think that would get you fired at most shops
at least it would be a written warning

Yes we do have a choice, but our senior guy has told us in the past that we have to stay current within 3 versions or we lose our MC support from our reseller, however in an email from them this past week we will still have support no matter what version we use, so not sure where he got is info from and he is on vacation till tomorrow so will ask when he returns.
you can use whatever version you want, they may not have someone that knows the version you use for help
we have one computer that uses ver 7 (not X7) just for engraving

I mat have to cut some molded parts on a mill for a second opp. Its a round part with a bore. Bosses want to have each part indicated, I know how to do that. Problem I'm seeing is that the Indicate Bore routine on the Haas doesn't ask for a depth, you have to take it to the depth and then run the program.
How would I go about doing that? Write the coordinates BEFORE the probe program ?
you set the probe up as a tool and just program it to the center of the bore and to the z depth that you want then call the probe bore sub

I think the angle of the undercut is less than the insert -- I can change tools if needed. How do I allow undercut?

you need to allow undercut but the angle needs to be less than on your insert

If you're adding via the 1 or 2 distances method, then you aren't actually asking that it respect a 45 to either edge- you're asking for specific conditions for the bestfit of the chamfer between the two edges you're applying the chamfer to.
but did the same function in both systems, i d
if you do 1d with angle it doesn't let you select an arc

Correct- the intersection of the chamfer at the tangent of the arc is affecting the outcome. If you're adding an equal Width+height chamfer to any corner that isn't a true 90 degrees, it has to pick a median. Here you know the answer you want- you'd like the chamfer to remain 45 to the bottom edge- but to the software, 45 to the tangent of the arc rather than your bottom edge would be just as valid- so it's a case where you need a very specific relationship for the chamfer angle and should draw it out.
doesn't do that in Solidworks, would think that the 45 deg is locked in
i don't have SW for MC loaded will have the other programmer try it when he's back from vacation

I'm currently using my hasp at both home and work
It's very convenient. The only real danger is losing it while carrying it back and forth.
I don't know the process for moving a software license from machine to machine
but I doubt it will be as simple as a moving hasp
with solidworks you have to release it from one computer and activate it on the other
