Hello all, i've been using mastercam since ver 5.0 loved all versions , my friend and i started our own shop in april last year, www.3d-machine.com ,3d-machine ,inc.We are a job shop,we hae made some pretty narley 4th axis parts, done a lot of 3d parts.worked with all inds of materials from plastics to 15-5 stainless p20 tool steel's etc.we have a haas vfo with 15,000 rpm spindle (love it).haas vf3 and haas sl20 with a bar feeder, and manual machines too.we use ver 8.1.1 l3 with solids.we highly recomend solids to all mastercam users.

It's for: 1)toolpathing the hole part within 1 file (good for verifieng purposes too hint i put an arc at my new tool plane points makes it easier to select as an entity and for referance). 2)doing rotary axis moves (mpfanuc.pst (post file) should cover most machines). 3)you can set these as different offsets g54,g55 atc.(good for multi-setups)

use Mini-cut roughers they will remove material fast (roaster tail action)

BAD TOO THE BONE FEATURE OF VERSION 8.1. WHY DRILL A HOLE FOR STARTING A SLOT OR MACHINING A PRECISION HOLE, MAYBE ITS FLAT BOTTOM? USE THE RAMP FEATURE CAN EVEN USE HARD CORE CUTTER COMP. GREAT FOR SLOTS, DON'T EVEN HAVE TO ROUGH.GO STRAIGHT FOR THE KILL.EXCELENT FEATURE.THANKS CNC SOFTWARE ALWAYS LOVE IT ALWAYS WILL.

HAS ANYONE SETUP A GOOD SPEEDS AND FEEDS LIBRARY THAT IS GOOD MAYBE EVEN AGRESSIVE FOR A WIDE VERIETY OF MATERIALS? I WOULD LIKE A COPY IF POSSIBLE THANX
