I,m using an older Yang mill with a Fanuc Om control.I would like the code to put the M6 on the line after the tool call,I would also like to change the dia wear offset from D to H,also how do you stop the P in dwell outputting a decimal point?
Thanks for any help I'm a post novice so your not dealing with the sharpest knife in the drawer.

We have a 2Xif sparkchanger vertical,we too had a lot of problems with the toolchanger as PeterM says.We found the limit switch to show the pot is up allowed the tool magazine to rotate before the pot was fully up,smashing pots.We adjusted the switch and it doesn't smash pots anymore, just the regular hangups.

Yes it has done this since X,a lot of my parts come out of round stock,I always have to create a circle for stock and use that for creating a bounding box, then I manualy add Z (Z is my cylinder axis),so if anyone knows of a work around I would love to know. The way I try to use it,I use a solid and the round stock dia sketched at Z0 as geometry, the result is way larger in dia then the stock dia.I just did this I created a solid 3" cylinder extruded Z+1"
I go to stock setup select cylinder z axis, then bounding box,the result Z1,dia 4.242641 is it trying to form a sphere?

I would say if your area is humid you will need a dryer,We had trouble with air hoses blowing mist and the silencers on the air solenoids blew apart as the water could not get out in time. All that water in the lube system isn't good.We bought a small one and it works great.

The entities could be the background colour.I have had this and ramsaver fixed the problem of entities shown in the level manager and not visible.

Could you draw the lines as needed and then save the file? Then you could open that file every time you need to start a new drawing and the lines are already there, same with level names etc.

I looked at the systems on the Dell site, how much diference is there performance wise between the laptops and the desktops they recomend?I'm not sure which way to go,I'm leaning toward a laptop at the moment, but if the desktop is much more powerful I may go that route.

Did your tool look right in backplot when you clicked on custom file?Mine looked like the one
on the picture on that page. The invalid tool message
only comes up in X.
I have to go- back tommorow
Thanks Roger
Hi Kannon
I opened a ver 9 file and it does backplot and verify ok,when you defined the tool did the profile
show up or was there a red X?
Thanks Roger
I had this in X and ver9,I use 2.5" Face mills with
straight sides and a .06 rad on the corner,if I try
to define this tool as a face mill I get the invalid
tool definition error.I can call it a bullnose and it works,or draw the tool and that works, any idea
why it won't work as a face mill thats all we use for facing?
