    posthaste

Alright, I'm looking to get a 5 axis, 3+2, post for X3. I started with my dealer, but after some research. I found ICAM and PostHASTE. I have submitted information to all three to see what they comeback with. All sound very competent. If you all would be so kind. What are the pros and cons on running a MC post verses a third party post like PostHASTE? Our dealer only writes up t 4 axis, so it will be created by a by someone outside their company. Maybe some of you running PostHASTE can expand on your experience. Kyle
  2. Check out Seco's Jabro line of solid carbide. Call Eric Gardner 877.908.3726 or [email protected]. This guy is good. K
  3. Thanks sir, I will call my dealer to find out wahts the deal.
  4. During back plot and verify is there a setting to display A,B and C axis for 4/5 axis milling programs. Up to this point I have been using it without, but it would be nice to see this info. Sorry, if this question came up before, but I could not find anything in the old posts. Thanks for any help. K
  5. Just for all you interested. We are dealing with "legit" programmers. As you all have stated I would also encourage everyone to do business with good quality companies or individuals.
  6. Thank you for all who have sent requests. We had many great candidates and we have made our selection.
  7. Crazy, At his point I have not got a lot of local sources. If you interested please shot me an email. I will forward you info for you to review.
  8. We after showing the response to the powers to be here at my company. They see the light to upgrade our remaining seat. So if any of you all which like to work in X2 and are still interested. Please shot me an email. Thanks for all those who have sent emails we will be contracting 1-3 people. Kyle
  9. For those of you questioning why X instead of X2. My company has decided to change CAM systems. Mastercam is our legacy system, therefore the only one seat is keep up to date and the rest stay at the current level. Myself I would prefer we stay with Mastercam, but this decision was made prior to me joining the company. By contracting a programmer and requiring version X many people in our company can work with the programs. If I let them work in X2 then only one can work with it. Considering we are a "paying customer", if you can't or won't follow the requirements please do submit your name for consideration. Its that easy to stay out of a X. Regards, Kyle Klaver [email protected]
  10. We are looking for contract programmers for vertical machining centers with 4th axis/indexers. Our company is a OEM manufacturer of precision components. We currently are experiencing a lot of first time run parts requiring new CNC programs. We prefer someone located in the western NY area, but this not a requirement. Ability, cost and delivery will be priorities. Anyone interested please email me, I will supply our company information and I can send a sample prints and 3D models. We are looking to hire on for this position ASAP. Please include price, experience and delivery ability in your response, also a list of current or recent customers would be appreciated. Requirements: Mastercam X or X2 ( the majority of our seats are still at X, so this would be the preferred version) 5+ years in Prismatic Machining experience Multi fixture offset programming Ability to take 2D prints to complete 3D solid models Experience with Haas VMC w/ Indexers & 4th axis Set-up sheets, Process instructions and Tooling information (templates supplied) Regards, Kyle Klaver [email protected]
  11. John, Are you looking for ISO or coversational post? What problems are getting? Kyle

  13. A couple years ago EDM Today magazine did a study with mold manufaturer Tech Mold in AZ. They tried many methods from rust inhibitors to nickel plate with stripping them after the work was done. They discovered that magnetism was the problem. It seems is the level was reduced to a acceptable the steel will not rust. I tried this myself had decent results but I had no way to measure the levels. You most likely get a reprint from EDM Today.
