  2. It really is an easy machine to use. I have done the exact thing you are trying to do with this machine. I will try to get him to set up a part in it if you like but cannot post pics untell tomorrow morning. he is 3 hours away and works during the day.
  3. The part that the belt from the moter holds the collets (that come with the machine) the moter turns the head (variable speed) and you feed the cross table into the wheel.
  4. You can put the pin in the collet or you can put it between centers.
  5. How big are the guide pins you are grinding?

  9. Its a cincinnati #2 tool post grinder. I don't have any pics but can get some for you tonight. I think he was asking $1500.00 for it.

  11. Would the Iscar multi-master work for you? they have carbide shanks that long that taper down that small.
  12. We run our VF-8 with no coolent without any problems five to six thousand RPM. I would stay away from the max RPM if you can. Or you can plumb your coolent lines back into your sump so they don't spray onto the part but still runs thew the spindle.
  13. coons. you have to use single point for two of your sides, there used to be a good example of this in the mastercam books, but I do not know if it is still in them or not.
  14. Chips on the ftp sight look under round2.mc9 is this what you are looking for?
  15. we are looking at the EC 1600 or the EC 2000, with the 10k spindle. thanks for the replies
  16. Anyone use or seen one in use a horizontal Hass? Are they more ridged than there Vertical mills?
  17. OK im confused, the file i dowloaded with the same name lookes nothing like what hardmill has?
  18. no simple explination, mastercam, or any other program, does not like to put that big of radius on a part that small. i run into the same problems with pro-e at times. you want the radius inside and outside? i type to slow
  19. do you have the pro-e converter? we use iges to convert to surfaces then make a solid out of the surfaces in mastercam.
  20. I know bata testers can not say much, but does it seem user friendly? Im in the process of learning Pro-e. I dont think my brain can learn a new softwareat this time
  21. I have herd of NAM (National Association of Manufacturers) and they do some training but not NIM.
