  1. I was doing some G testing on the machine and I noticed if I had Highfeed set to Rough and Finish it would not be applied to the path. Also when I had just Finish on and cutter comp set to Wear, it would loop around some of the points in the path and basically trash the part. Watch your Backplot and double check paths and feedrates.
  2. Be aware of the Highfeed bug #25117. It will trash your part if not more.
  3. Thanks Bryan. This right click menu is now a habit for me.
  4. Hi All, We have a problem here at my shop. Mfg. is constantly rescheduling where a job is going to run and the floor may want to set up and run two jobs in one machine. The problem is tool numbers and program numbers. We don't have a net hasp, each programmer has their own key. We just had a dongle freed up (one of our programmers was called up for Iraq duty, good luck Jeff). I would like to let the day and swing shift supervisors share the dongle so they can change tool and prgm. numbers without coming in here and disrupting us but management wants traceability. All of our source programs are accurate and posted every time a part runs. We don't have Workstation Log In's other than the NT server. I talked with our I.T. guy and he says the network system won't give him enough info to track program edits . Does anyone know of a third party software that will allow us to track user, date and time and the specifics on a change to a file or can this be set up in Mastercam itself , maybe a C-hook that loads on start up? Any help would be appreciated.
  5. I've had the 'Missing Name Phenom.' happen time after time. If I need to assign a new WCS to operations I've found I had to regen and save after updating no more than three toolpaths. I also found that the System View that appears, after a name goes into cyber space, can be renamed to it's original and all is O.K. again. The actual View is still there and assigned to the toolpaths although it will make the associated tool paths dirty and require regen.

  8. Thad, How much memory did it actually consume when you downloaded it? Rick teh who gives a ?
  9. Pete, We all use the same post. We have a generic program header in a manual entry at the begining of the program. Whom ever creates a program puts his or her initials and the date in that header. All changes made to a program are listed in another manual entry with description date and prgmr initials. Works for us.
  10. Dan, I had Regofix out to our shop for a demo. I do like the concept and thier system is a lot safer than shrinking. The downside was the cost of the holders and collets. I would have trouble justifying $700 for 1 holder and a collet. Who knows, maybe your rich.
  11. Brian, I am looking for a 2 click method to set my Tool and Construction planes to a named view. I do most of my work in G View- Iso so I don't want to set my G View to match (there is a setting for that in screen config). Can the SET Views module be modified to do this? (I know it can I just don't know ehough about it to do it myself. I am learning some S__T today though.) Thanks in advance>
  12. Bryan, I tried to add a function that would take me directly to Cplane, Named, Select Icon, but it only goes to the cplane menu. Actually I would like set it so when I click on Cplane my Named View Icons appear (instantly) I select the one I want to work in and my Cplane aaaannndddd my Tplane are autometically changed as soon as I select it. Do I need to write a VB Script to accomplish this? Rick teh VB VIRGIN.
  13. I'm so lazy. Stuff like this C-Hook makes me even lazier. I hate doing things the long way. Thanks Bryan
