Help Programming a Spiral Flute Threadmill

I have programmed straight flute threadmills tons of times, but now I only have a spiral flute threadmill and need to program it. Since I have never programmed a spiral flute I figured I would ask you fine folks how to do it. Do you program it the same as a striaght flute (go to the bottom of the hole and helix 1 pitch in Z +) or do you just go to the bottom of the hole and do a straight interpolation (Z doesn't move), or do you have to syncronize the speeds and feeds kind of like a tap?
