19 TO 20 INCH LCD MONITORS

I am looking at dell's work stations and not sure

about buying dell's 19" or 20 " monitors.

are they good?

video card = quadro fx 500

 

please advice

Our Mastercam and Solidworks Training centers use Dell 2001FP 20" LCD and Planar 20" LCD. Both are fabulous. The Planar is slightly cheaper.

I cant speak for Dell but I have a 20" Phillips and it is fantastic

The 20" Dell is nice I wish I had two. One for the second monitor, using a crt now. LCD much crisper image.

 

Get the 20".

I'm running two Samsung SyncMaster 191T's.

You can get them for about $650 if you shop around. They are working out pretty well.

I'd rather have 20 or 21 in, but the budget

wasn't there.

I was surprised to find out that a lot of LCD monitors still don't have DVI inputs.

It doesn't make much sense to pay top dollar

for a digital CAD/CAM video card then put an analog monitor on it.

A lot of the 17 in monitors and some of the cheaper 19 in monitors I looked at were analog input only.

I came back from vacation last year and found a new KDS 19" analog/digital LCD display on my desk.

 

The colors are bright and crisp, lines are sharp.

 

I'm really glad to have gotten it, I can sit it at the back of the desk and not have to wear my glasses in order to use it.
