Tool assembly report ( X+ Alternative ​​​​​​​​​​​​​)

Apologies if in the wrong section..

So like many of you I have been using X+ happily for years. The only thing I used it for was producing a very simple tool list, 

Tool #,  Tool name,  Tool Image( with tool extension and image of holder) , Tool Extension, Holder #

And we cant justify the new price when we only use 5% of the functionality.

Does anybody have a working similar template for active reports that i can modify to my needs? I got hold of the In-house solutions examples but I cant seem to get them to work other than one which is too extensive.

If I can get something to build on i will happily share the results with whoever wants it on the forum.

Why upgrade software. EVER?

You should just use Notepad to write your programs. I mean it works. It's bug free...

i was being sarcastic ,

i don't get how places won't spent a couple hundred $ for something they need but will waste thousands $$ trying not to

To be fair, in this case the tools to create what the OP needs are included in the software they've already purchased.

I love X+, but when it became another subscription item, I gave a shot at Active Reports & was successful in getting it to fit our needs.

I'm very grateful to @Günther Massimo - GMCCS for the many years of use I got from his very generous offering of X+.

same here, i feel we owe it to GÜNTHER for giving it to us for free all those years , i convinced the boss we needed it , cost less for the year than one of their business lunches

I agree, if it was my decision, we'd be subscribed.
