Some of the files I work on have weeks or even months of work into them. Every morning, as soon as I open a file, I save it as its program name

followed by the date ( month and day only)

Today's filie is named PR-P2154-5 0413. If its a

really big file or I have made really good progress that day, I might add a BAK to the end of it so I have 2 copies.

Even in a worst case situation, I'll only loss one day's work

Seriously though a good operator will be able to spot a weird move before it happens. Make sure your post is in perfect running condition. Catch the mistakes on the pc, before they happen on the machine. Use your varify, and backplot(verbose mode)they're there for a reason. Check your XYZ ranges in the editor. Cross your fingers, and knock on wood.
