Spinning graphics

When you hit end button on key board does the graphics start spinning around or is it a quirk on our system.

I always tell my students as I am introducing them to the layout and buttons that this is one of the most important buttons.

Some times when I have a fancy model on my PC and I have to leave my PC for a while I hit the END button looks cool and stops the screen saver kicking in.Impresses people walking past my PC to.

It was a nice feature when computers where show.

 

Now that computers became very fast it spins wireframe model much to fast, out of control

 

I could see why someone could think this is a bug.

It still works ok if you have a large shaded model on the screen.

 

Hopfully the next version will give a user control of it speed and direction.

This is a very useful function for abstract 5-axis machining. Hit end, stop the rotation at some random point, then set your cplane & tplane to that view and machine away. I use it all the time.

Mine goes too fast for viewing. It would throw the employees in to convulsions similar to the japanese animation cartoons.

This is my favorite graphic card test .

Create some model ,save it as very high-resolution stl ,use stl2surf c-hook to convert it to surfaces ,shade surfaces and press end ....

When I was board a few years ago I tried to create a model of our solar system with only the three planets nearest the sun and try to get the model to rotate on some sort of orbit about the sun.

 

Looked kind of neat. Also... made some 3d surfaced eyeballs and hit end.

Bill, if you haven't noticed spelling doesn't seem to be a cnc programmers strong point.

 

Grammur done doesn't be a strong point too.

I hope you weren't up all weekend thinking about the spelling error. Most of us have gotten pretty good at reading through the modified spelling and grammer. It's just a little challenge.
