Windows 11 + V2019

Does anyone here have Version 2019 running in Windows 11?

I've tried installing it, but I get the following error:

Error 1935. An error has occurred during the installation of assembly component (C47FA2DB-7CCB-4AF7-8ECA-380C3D137511). HRESULT: 0x80070005

It then rolls back the install, and doesn't complete. I tried removing it, and then installing the latest Hasp update drivers, but still get the same issue.

I switched off Antivirus, and tried running the install in various compatibility modes.

I just want to install V2019 to provide some access to legacy data we have, as 2019 is the last version we qualified for.

It works fine for me,  are there existing files from the old install?

You could try clearing out any existing folders in program files/common files, shared mastercam, my mastercam and removing old registry entries, from HKEY_CURRENT_USER & HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE from Cnc Software,Inc. -> Mastercam 2019

there can be stuff at this location also

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Mastercam

also do you have codemeter installed?

A dumb question ... did you have your old hasp plugged in when you ran the install

If so...clean everything out and try it without the hasp

If the install is successful, then work on getting the hasp recognized.

HASPs are going away, I believe all new sales come with digital licenses.

I suspect if I lost my USB hasp (or if it died) I would be forced to replace it with a digital license

are you using a hash or a software license

Alladin got bought out years ago and the new owners are no longer selling or supporting

the HASPs we use for Mastercam

I installed it on a Software License,

i tried booting on the hasp and the sw license, both worked fine,

That's interesting about them getting bought out, i see the aladdin license monitor can still be downloaded & installed,

I remember you are only allowed to lose it a certain amount of times anyway, I only bought the hasp because at the time software license wouldn't run on x9 and i still was using that version a bit,

They were bought out in 2010, but I am wrong

Hasps are still being supported.

I do remember looking a couple of years ago and not being able to find them, but here they are

one day all this stuff will be in a museum, I like the concept of hardware licensing tho, so the thing still works after the company is gone,

This is 100% true....I thought my HASP was toast this week but I was able to get it working! All new sales or transfers are via license files.

And, did a complete registry cleanout on the new Notebook, switched off all AV etc, and ran install in compatibility mode.

Still no joy. Get the same exact error.

You could compare the version of vc++ runtimes installed on each machine, maybe some component is built in vs2013 or lower,

I think the default windows installs with vs2015-vs2022 runtimes installed

You could try downloading the vs2013, vs2012 runtimes as well and see if that makes a difference

Also, I would try installing a later version just to see what happens,

Thanks. I'll give that a go.

If I can't get it to work, I guess I can just leave it installed on my tablet. I really only need it installed for legacy files anyway.
