Axis substitution

Would anyone have an example they would like to share, We have a cylinder with bosses, I'm spending way too much time trying to remember how I did this before.

can't share the file, but think of a birdfeeder shape.

I don't have a file handy, but did you make wireframe around your cylinder, use UnWrap on it to get a flat pattern, toolpath that and then just use Axis Sub inside of the toolpath?

We tried both ways, posts 90 deg off. Transform rotate sends it to Zero deg.

Axis Substitution requires a different method when trying to transform rotate. You need to use "Translate" not rotate  and  "Coordinate" not tool plane. Then on the next page use "Delta" for Method.

From a right side view on a lathe enviroment...C0 is at 3" oclock....

hence the 90 deg difference ....been that way forever
