Multi sessions

Hi,

I tryed to run multisessions, but the result is bad. When i had one session in the background calculating, all things seemd ok. But when i save, and reload the file all operations are red-crossed and empty. The same with the other file.

I'm running the files from the network.

The NCI and NC are directed to C:MCAM-files

Today I did a try with 1xV9.1 and 1xV9.0, that was a bit better but not 100%

Can I install Mastercam 3 times in different maps

My dealer said the calculating speed is dramatically going down, so what I'm working on the other side.

I know there are some multisession-fans here.

Saving file on network and running multisession could be the reason. I think when saving over a network if the network is disconnected or a pc is switched off this could happen, some time it even makes the file corrupt.

That were my words

Well ,actually this is a 100 % truth ,but I never said there are no limitations ,but they

are natural ,reasonable and logical :

1. Never open one file twice or more times simultaneously.

2 Autobackup (Alt+A)feature I set this way :

first file c:mastrestbackup.mc9

The next one c:mastrestbackup1.mc9 or disabled ,if I do not need it

3.

Try to use design or demo application for files that you are only viewing

4 Never work from network drive

5 .Never ever have the same nci destination file for more than one file

6.Allocations must be reasonable .

7.Try to avoid toolpath calculation more than in one session ,2 maximum.

8 try to avoid multisession at all ,I do it cause I do not have other way to do my job ,save your files more often and do not expect it to be 100 percent perfect (it means you can get sometimes Mastercam crash because of it )

9. I also use Vbscript for incremEntal backup ,make a search to find a lot of info about it and cheers to BrYan314 ,Mick.G and Rekd !

Teh never say die
