Ok same tool.

In the operations manager:

expand the second path "same tool paths"

click parameter icon

the tool parameter dialog pops up

click [ Change Nci ]

check the box [ Force Load Tool]

Ok

Ok

OK

regen

rinse, repeat. for all subsequent paths with the same tool

Sometimes you can Highlight all the tool paths and do a "Change Common Paramters" but that doesnt allways work.

The ( SET NEW Z! ) is to act as a M00, the true MX2 with the mighty AGE3 "auto geometry engine" will pause and display the SET NEW Z message. Then you are to crank the handwheel for Z and press the button to continue. If the machine is an MX3 it may get upset with the ( SET NEW Z! ). You will need to use the mprotmx3 post for that one.

The arc errors could be post/cutter comp related I would never use full radius comp on this machine. If you want a good laugh try sending G code from MPFAN.pst to one of these and watch it run. Every time ccomp is applied the tool retracts to the "Saftey Height" to apply the comp then comes back down at feed rate eek.gif

Nothing is modal on the control so if your missing a XB YB on one of your arc "events" it will fault out.

harleysport557, have you tried to view the events that are causing the problem in the editor on the machine. See if anything stands out.

Allan

could you put a sample file on the ftp to look at. I am using the mx2 post on the machine i have in my garage and have never had any trouble.

I would like to post the same file hear and see what i get. I know my machine likes to error out if using comp in machine not computer with mc when doing multiple direction arc moves.
