Alright I am kewl with dual monitors but I just found in a box that an old engineer left a Retro looking spaceball, with a serial port plug that my cpu will not recognize. The number on the bottom is 6094-031, I did a search in forum and on the net and no luck, XP pro sp2. Any suggestions other than get a new USB one?

It'll work fine. I have two of these at home. The trick is that some require a power adaptor that plugs into the cord. The normal www.3dconexions.com driver will get you going. If it doesn't beep when you plug it in or turn on your computer something is wrong. Probably no power, the cord is special. You can probably email one of the guys selling them on ebay and get a new cord and power supply if you can't find yours.

Only whine I have is that they aren't the FLX models so the ball doesn't move and I have one at work that is an FLX so I find myself pushing real hard on the one at home.

The real problem is that you will soon be addicted and not be able to work at a station that doesn't have one. So just figure on buying one for every computer that you work at. This thing is nearly indispincable.
