  1. Mayday; email me dirrectly I may have a contact that would be of value
  2. I believe this card can be "Soft Quadro"ed check out guru3d.com. I have been very happy with this mod applied to my 4200. Most anything that says NVIDIA can be made to work well if you have the right driver and a little patience. Note it isn't always the latest and greatest driver though. Hope this helps.
  3. .....Something that seems 'broke' to one person, might just be 'bent' for another..... ROFLMFAO Is bent an improvement or added functionality? It still shoots, it just patterns a little funny. Rekd you very funny guy..... I'm with Paul though this should work or the areas where it doesn't work should be grayed out atleast. Thanks for the tips Jim. It's funny how in the most twisted threads there's always a little enlightenment to be had. Happy New Year everybody.
  4. Oh ya, who's weby and how do I send in my avatar?
  5. OK OK, now for the dumb question. Where do I find this FZT thing? I have MR0304 mill level 1 with solids, do I have this added functionality ......
  6. Anybody know if one of these is on the schedule for the Denver area? I want to get on the list.
  7. RuffKut; Speaking from the otherside of the fence. I have been employing contract programmers for some months now as I come up to speed on MC and try to get a part time guy into my shop. If I were you I would be less worried about what your going to charge then what your going to deliver. I have been very dissatisfied with a couple of the programmers and very happy with one in particular. You need to define very clearly what your customer is asking for and then price accordingly. For instance, If the programmer I higher isn't going to come in and run a first art. part, I want very clear documentation and a guaranty that he's going to fix all the stuff he missed or that I can just load the NC and tools and hit "GO"...... There are a tremendous amount of things that come into play in pricing. If for instance I drop a part on somebody Thursday/Friday and want to be able to successfully run the part Monday AM I don't mind paying x% more. But if I give them all the time in the world and tell them to do everything in there power to make sure it runs right right out of the gate I expect to get great value. All in all what I'm trying to say is make sure your taking care of your customer before you through an invoice on his desk and expect payment. We're paying for the parts that are produced from the code not the programming time it takes you to write the NC. This is why I was asking about MC certification a while back, it is very difficult to know what your going to get from programmer X before you actually are trying to run parts. IMO some "baseline" training certification needs to be established, respected, and sought by all serious programmers. One more thing that really will get your a$$ in a sling with a customer is not having your own seat of MC. I would advise that if you don't have your own seat you should not be trying to play this game. Borrowing tools to earn money is not the best idea that I've heard either, renting is a whole different deal though, but may be in violation of CNCs agreement with the owner of the software. My 2 cents, hope it didn't come across as a rant.
  8. Jess r, where in NE are you? Eastern or Western? Drop me an email and we'll take this discussion off the forumn. I'm originally from NE.
  9. Thanks for the link I'll give it a shot. Did anyone ever get a list of what the variables control? Looks like this would be good to have. James is evidently on a need to know basis.....
  10. Interesting, very interesting. I'll leavethat prm file alone for now. I don't think I'm qualified yet. Thanks for the help.
  11. Rich; Thanks for all the tips. I did not have the WCS set properly, I think that was my main problem (hope it doesn't matter where your at with the WCS when X comes out this seems like a lot of hoop jumping, but as long as you know it has to be done....) What is in this Verify.prm and should I even be there or is it like messing with the registry and people with my aptitudes should just not go there? Heeler, thanks man, I'm glad you saw what I was getting my resaler gave me the standard "It works on my computer answer." I really hate that! Now how do I change the WCS in a couple of my ops w/o corrupting the whole file? When ever I change the WCS on OPs 43, 44, or 45 it deletes the WCS that is associated with all of the OP02 operations? I put the file in MC9_files file name is GreggT.zip, as always all help greatly apriciated. Notice that I have a couple of WCSs that share a V#? Could this somehow be causing the problem and if so how do I change it? TIA
  12. And it apears a sand rail too..... Very cool. Thanks for the help. I've got the jap version a Landcruiser FJ-40. My neighbor has OIIIIO as his license plate, I finaly had to ask him WTF does that stand for and he gave me the standard "It's a Jeep thing you wouldn't understand." Then he repented after I threatened to kick out his head lights. Where do ou run your rail?
  13. You got a Jeep Rekd? Thanks Rekd and Keith, that's what I wanted to know.
  14. Is there a trick to getting new operations to be placed where you want them w/o having to drag them after generation? Also what controls which NCI file name you get? Thanks
  15. You get an answer on this yet Dan?
  16. Thank's Rich but all the margins boxes have 0s in them? Thanks again
  17. Those pour buffs......... Almost as bad as the Donkeys losing...... Oh, ya. Always work in solids.
  18. Thanks Zero, that sounds like my situation.
  19. Do what????? Considering all the flack about the internal verify. Why didn't they just keep providing this tool? Or link it in like the cimco editor? Looks nice from the creen capture? Just a couple more posts and I'll have to go find and avatar.......
  20. Yep, but that's not exactly what I'm trying to do. I want to define the stock at the verify dialog. But it's not taking my job setup stock size right either? Thanks, I'm going to have to get my resaler to stop by and look at it. I can't get it to work.
  21. How much money is this predator tool?
  22. Thanks Glenn. The stock I'm trying to define is rectangular? It's funny because I pick it using the Boundaries>Pick stock corners... in the Verify configuration and it looks to change behind the dialog box but then when I close the dialog the stock changes size and I'm back to a bad situation again? Who knows? I can get the scan toolpaths to work and I'll just delete the chip and try getting the verify to work?
  23. Ron; Is that a cylinder for an air cooled engine on the left side of your website? If so what kind of aparatus does it go into? Also ther is a misspelled word in in the description paragraph under "What we do:" I'm thinking you wanted to say "or" instead of "of" between process and your? I like those multi-kwik jaws, did you invent those?
  24. Hey Walt; How's the weather down there in Clearwater? I may be moving down your way in the next year. It's colder than heck hear. Can you still swim in the ocean in trunks or do you need a wet suite?
