New Computer setup

I've had MC on the same computer now for the last 4 yrs. I have it humming along just the way I like it.

My question is this: I am setting up a new computer and I want to get all of my settings, updates, chooks, dlls etc. xferred to the new computer pretty much as it is on the old one.

What would be a good strategy for making a seamless xfer?

Thanks,

Craig,

You can copy your tool and ops libraries, cfg file, df9 file, vb scripts, and chooks to the computer via floppy/CD/whatever. Make sure you install the new MC in a folder with the same name though our you'll have "path not found" type errors to deal with. As for the patches/updates, you'll have to do them "the old fashioned way." smile.gif

Hi Craig

My dirty trick:

When you are on a network: install mastercam on the new computer in the same map as as it's in the old. Then copy your Mcam-map from the old computer to the new computer and overwrite all, and imo you get a seamless transfer.
