DRAWING A COUNTERSINK

I am thinking there is an easy way to do this...I have a one inch deep hole that has an 82 degree x .250 deep chamfer. Is there a simple way to do this...Can't seem to find any help in the book and can not access FTP site for some reason.

Just trying to draw a 82 degree chamfer on my part. A hole with a chamfer.

i just drew 41 degree lines at each side of hole and joined them. seems like there should be a bit of a simpler(is that a word?) way to do it though.

If all you looking to do is pull 2d off the surfs,

use create-curve-slice- (front or side c-plane)

I used front, check you e-mail. Let me know if I'm

way out in left field here.

i'm probably way off here,but can you use

tappered walls for this?

Also wondering about another option, create-nextmenu-chamfer, should this not be an option??? Does it only work with straight lines??? Am I getting confusing??

I did surfs manually. That was after I drew my 41 degree lines off the arcs. Maybe that's the best way to draw a chamfer/countersink?

I do know how to toolpath a chamfer, just trying to figure out how to draw it on my part for future reference.

With just an arc you can use create-surf-draft.

Sorry for the confusion. All you need to set is

angle and length.

Another cool way is to make a csink drawing with 0,0,0 @ tip and merge/trim to holes.

 

Formula _____ TAN49 x (hole radius + champher distance) = translate distance in Z.
