dkintzel,

quote:

If they can make instructional disks for all the re-sellers to learn "x" for training purposes, why can't they send these discs as well to current users?

Because they don't make instructional disks for resellers. They made .AVI files but those are outdated and so it's really up to us to learn the new software on our own. frown.gif Fortunately, most of us who instruct others in the software naturally absorb new advancements through "Ozz-mosis" (the activity of learning with simultaneous audio stimulation via Ozzy Osbourne music biggrin.gif ) and pass the information on to our clients. biggrin.gifcheers.gifbiggrin.gif

THREEPT82: If you want instructional disks go here

http://www.tipsformanufacturing.com

There's even some free videos to download.

Nothing for X of course because it takes too much time to produce a quality, accurate video instruction course on a product that isn't finished yet. I plan on producing a "transition" video series to smooth out the bumps between V9 & X. But to be honest, I hav'nt even started anythng on it yet. Too many things are still in a state of flux.

The X avi's CNC produced for beta testers are not really training videos. Not what I would call training videos anyway (no offense Dave M. biggrin.gif )

And the people producing the avi's are not the one's writting code. CNC is a long ways away from the days when the programmers wrote the manuals. They have a specific department for that. An award winning department I might add (kudos: TechDocs).

Trust me guys, everything you ask/tell them to do that is not about releasing X, takes them away from releasing X. Plain and simple.
