Feed change on chain - lathe

Hi

Can you change the feedrate along a profile or chain, when finishing on a lathe. We have shafts that have different feedrates along their profile. For example where the oil seal goes it is fine feed, then further along it changes to a coarse feed, then again it may change back to a fine feed.

Using V9 or V9.1

Thanks

Open the chain manager, right click and choose "Change at Point".

After you've made your changes

turn on "Show cooridianates" and "Verbose"

in backplot.

Then you can step though the the cut and inspect your changes.

Gcode,

That would be a good tip for the perpetual tip thread. Would you put it there?

Jimp,

Verbose mode will show your G-code line by line as you backplot step by step. It can be real handy.

toolpath, operations, backplot, display, apperance tab, turn Verbose mode on. Now when you backplot look at the bottom of the window and you will see your code.

Jimp,

I saw Scotland in your post and noticed in your profile

quote:

Reading, D.I.Y & drinking malt whisky

Two questions. What is "D.I.Y" and what malt whiskey do you like. I enjoy a Bowmore or a Lagevulin from time to time.

Phil

my favorites are Highland Park and Glenmorangie malts but have a selection of about 12 different brands and like them all, and like you think the Islay whisky's are superb. Ardbeg and Laphroig as well as your two.

A nice blended whisky is Black Bottle not Black Label which is nice , Black Bottle is made up of Islay malts.

Have a nice day I am of home now and since you have put me in the mood will have a nice wee malt(maybe not to small)later on to night.

Thanks for your help Phil.
