Master , help mastercam

I got a 3D Autocad file , and i convert it in mastercam , but the origin and axis not what i want , can anyone show me how to change origin and Axis in mastercam , thanks

/xform/translate/rotate (or whatever) to Mastercam X0, Y0, Z0. or any other point that you choose.

If you want to physicaly move/rotate the geometry than use transform/translate. Than transform/rotate... Search for transform in mastercam help menu to get a better understanding.

Hey Marvin, try a Xform-Translate-Between points select point on geometry you want to be your zero or base point and select origin or type in 0,0 or wherever you want to move it to. That will move the point you picked to the location you specify

Then there is the WCS where you do not move the model but you move the World corrnidate system to the part. There is a great turtorial on the FTP about WCS you might want to take a look at.

Transform, translate, Pick the part, between views will allow you to do this in one step.

alarm go off and message : ILLEGAL DECIMAL POINT

Anyone know what that is , I'm new with fanuc control , thanks , please explain P & R letter second line , thanks

Q = remove the decimal point

If you remove the decimal point from the Q, doesn't the Fanuc revert to trailing zero format so you would need to replace Q.03 with Q300
