Step files from mastercam

Wildfire 2 wont read in a step file from mastercam 9.1,mr0105.

the file is of a solid.

 

Any Ideas??

did you tell pro/e to read it in as a part ?

It was read in as a part. no luck

Did you try to import the step file back to MC?

 

I've seen the following on my sytem:

1. Make a primitive block solid.

2. Export it to step.

3. Import the same, no luck.

Just thinking outloud here,

You do have Maintenance?

Otherwise STEP wont work.

We have Pro-E and MC here too and no prob.

Just to clarify, STEP will work if you have purchased a licence for it in V9 at some point in the past, whether Maintenance is current or not.

 

Sorry I can't be a help with the Wildfire problem.

You can always convert the file into something else. Instead of read choose write and create the file you want or need.
