Error running MCX Demo

I installed Demo at work today and everytime I launch it, I get the following errors. Running WinXP Pro. All went well on a WinXP Home and Win2000 install. I tried the "Repair" option, but still get the same.

Does anyone have any ideas before I try a new install?

Sorry for the pic, but I couldn't copy the text.

Thad,

Mastercam uses some shared OCX files meaning V9 and X use these same files. One of these file sis used for the level manager and when you install X it will load these new shared OCX file causing V9 to use these as well, hence the V9 level manager looking different.

As far as the demo problem you are having, what did you recieve from your reseller to install??? Did you receive a CD or some other method??? Just curious so we can try and duplicate your problem here. If you received a file via e-mail or some other mehtod, maybe you could e-mail to [email protected] so we can see what you got.

Jim,

Thanks for the reply. The overwritten OCX files (whatever *they* are biggrin.gif ) seems to the be the answer. It's not a big deal, it just seemed odd.

We received a CD to install from. As I stated before, only one computer has a problem with it. The rest function fine. Another thing that I noticed is that if I change anything in the config file, after making the changes (graphics background color for example), I say yes to changing the config file and then get an error "Warning - error opening mcamx.config". The background will change colors, but if I close and reopen MCX, it's back to the default background color. I may have to reinstall it.

This seems to be a computer problem, not a software problem. Otherwise it would act up on all computers. confused.gif
