I realize this should be really simple. The problem I am having is I have a plain that is at a .69 degree angle with a hub on the left hand side of it. I need to mill around that hub and try to keep the plain angled around the hub. Of course theoretically this can not be done. Although I happen to have a part here in front of me and judging from the tool marks, the programmer before me, did just that. Unfortunately I do not have the luxury of having the old program or MC8 file. I have tried just about everything. Is it possible? Mill level 1!!! Version 8.1.1.

RStuart,

:Looking at picture: Are you saying that there is a constant .69 degree taper between those 2 chains?

If so, I think it's impossible.

Edit: With Mill Level 1, maybe a wireframe (or series of wireframe) toolpath(s) will get it done?

The outside chain is the plane that is at a constant .69 of a degree. The hub is not at an angle. I do not have the luxury of mill level 3, and they have done this before with level one. i will try the wireframe toolpaths. Unfortunately I can not fixture it any other way due to the fact there are hole that have to go in it for screws that have to be straight.
