X demo / V9 wont run

Help. I have been running X demo, go to use V9 and cant find hasp, uninstall X, now V9 has incountered a problem and has to close. what has gone wrong?

George, check out this thread, I'm not sure if it's your problem but it's a starting point.

also check out www.simswap.com to make sure you are running a hasp4. Click on the HASP info link at the top of the form. You can run a small utility to check your hasp.

 

MCX might have updated your HASP drivers and may now be looking for a HASP4

I have had to reinstall V9 now its working again, I have uninstalled X demo.

I think your idea sounds good I will check out my hasp.

Forget the demo...get the real thing!

Running X Demo and V9 at work with no problems.

I was running both all day with no trouble then all of a sudden 9 stopped, maybe I will try and reinstall X again.

I'm running a nhasp. when i go to simswap it says has not found. stupid question but am i going to have a problem?

This issue is not a problem with Demo.

i get the following error when i try to run the demo. anyone have any ideas what i did wrong?

mastercam.exe-unable to locate dll

the dynamic link library d3d9.dll could not be found

This once again has to do with the install missing the DotNet 1.1 install and or the DirectX 9.0 or higher install.

Reinstalled both now running without any trouble must have been one of those strange things that happen.

The program that you download from simswap will only look for single-user hasps, not nhasps.

The nhasp is basically an up to date bit of hardware anyway, so will be no need to replace it if you move to X.

just wanted to update. The IT guys got directx9.0c and the dotnet1.1 and the demo works. Thanx for the help
