Rule #1: Don't ask for a Post Processor.

Ask this question as your first message here and you won't necessarily like the responses you receive. The eMastercam.com Lynch Mob is on much higher alert than you could ever imagine.

Look to your reseller to supply you with the proper post for your machine, or quote for the work that needs to be done.

If you have something and are looking for improvements, it's a reasonable request. Maybe tell us why the post you have needs improvement.

Perhaps try to participate a bit on the Forum before you go asking for something. Not unlike Habitat for Humanity, we value Sweat Equity here. Quid pro quo, Clarice.

You may also want to let everyone know your company name so that your Hotmail or Yahoo email account doesn't give everyone the impression that you aren't a licensed Mastercam user.

Requesting a post right off the bat is a big no-no around here.

Many got flamed for this before wink.gif , but if you have specific post questions I'm sure someone will chime in with help.

I'm not familiar with hurco so no help from me...

btw, welcome to the forum

much better start to thread now.

welcome to the forum

I have 2 hurcos and I use seperate posts because 1 of them is only ultimax 1 or 2 and the other is an ultimax 4.

You could probably use the same post for yours if they both have the same software options rigid tap, enhanced nc,macros, etc. otherwise I would use seperate posts to allow you to tweak them for the options of the machine.

Easy fellas , Where did he ask for a post ? Let's put the flame throwers on hold ....... for the moment wink.gif . Can't answer his question either, but asking if a Hurco mill post will work on a different Hurco mill seems like a non-flamable question to me.

I see you have taken my advice.

Very good. Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest contacting your Hurco dealer or whomever you have that runs maintenance. The guys I use are somewhat helpful in regards to what type of post is needed for my two hurcos.

Though my MCam reseller is on top of it for the most part.

No pickin on me. I didn't buy them. I just make them run.
