PRINTING

Can't seem to get print the geo. that I have on the screen. When I goto print preview it shows it all there , but when I print it only prints a couple of lines and the wcs .

Are you printing from the preview page or from the main print page? Mine does fine as long as I print from the preview page. Printing with the main print icon just gives me one line of "junk" per page and lots of pages.

Try changing your graphics background color to anything but black, then while still in the colors page, click "customize" and select black. Now see if you can print. Printing has a problem with the color 0 for background. Now your background appears black, but it isn't color 0.

I had this same problem yesterday with one of my clients. It has been investigated at CNC but because it's been hard for them to replicate they have had trouble fixing it.

In the instances where they were able to duplicate it, MR1 fixed the error. If you are a maintenance customer, you should be recieving this update, scheduled for release toward the end of the year.

If you are not a maintenance customer, you can check with your reseller for updates and service packs possibly fixing the bug.

 

For right now, the issue seems to be printer specific, as some printers will print and others won't using the exact same McX file. I suggest that if you have another printer you can print to, try that, or perhaps make sure you have the latest drivers for your existing printer.

Thanks for all the reply's guys I changed the back ground color to 255 then it printed fine.

I'am also on the maintance program and do have the latest up-dates and it still does not print correctly.

While were on the subject, how about posting a screen shot? I can save them in my irfanview program but just don't now how to put them up here.

You'll have to host the pic online somewhere. A lot of us use photobucket.com. Then use the "Image" button in the full reply form and paste the link just like you did the URL.

Thad, I'm always afraid to underestimate the amount of time before a release, as I don't really speak for CNC software. However, perhaps someone at CNC could post a reply with a more for sure date?

 

Sorry if my initial post was misleading. All I know is that it's supposed to be out before year's end.

I still cant get a print from X.

In Lathe it prints the stock outline, Dimensions but NOT the Geometry of the part profile.I have 1 Lathe file that soon as you hit the print icon bye bye MC complete crash.

Hi Guys,

Been having the same trouble with printing. Thought it was operator error as I've been running our qc shop lately. I've got an HP 820Cxi deskjet. The change of background colour to colour #1 got it to print wire frames just fine. Haven't had time to try surfaces.

No crashes since SP1 was installed.
