Geometery from one level to multiple levels?

Is there a way to copy geometery from one level to multiple levels in one operation?

Just taking a guess here, but if you created layer groups, maybe you could copy to a group. Just thinking out loud.

The situtation I find myself in is developing a base piece of geometery on one level and needing to copy this to four or more levels and then manipulate it further. I would just like to be able to select the geo and say copy it to levels 10,11,12,13, etc..

 

It would also be nice to be able to associate some of these levels with WCS view. For instance if I select level 11 as my main level the WCS I have created in that oreintation in now active.

Here is how:

1. Select the geometry to be moved.

2. Go to XFORM, TRANSLATE

3. Select “MOVE”

4. Enter number of copies (at least 2)

5. Leave delta x,y,z at zero.

6. Click checkbox “use new attributes”

7. Click checkbox “increment level per copy”

8. Click checkmark button.

 

The first copy will go to the current level,

Each successive copy will go to new levels,

Incremented by “1”, ie level 2,3,4,5, etc.

Seems as thought the increment per level is not working but a good tip there Scott. It will only increment by 1 not the amount it says you can do it by. I would log that as a bug.

I only have 10 demo but that actually worked.

Wondering is something simuler in V9. Will try at on company version next week.

Crazy^ I the numbers in the dialog box are for the start level number and color number I don't believe there is a bug.
